My sister pinned tons of HP wedding stuff for me - I'm a HP nut. Not doing a HP theme, but it was tempting to have a golden snitch on a cake. :-)

Im pinning like crazy too. I have a small budget so a lot will be DIY but the cake and the games will be the main things to bring the theme together

I think everyone just coming together should make her feel loved.

Ugh, all I can think of is the way I would decorate and the fun foods and desserts you can make!

Particularly these cake pops for dessert!

I am incorporating little bits of Harry Potter into the wedding, but way more subtly than if it was a shower

You can make the invitations look like the Marauderr's map, you can give out chocolate wands as favors, have a candy buffet (with chocolate frogs & Bertie Bots every flavor beans & acid pops), cut out flowers or hearts from the pages of one of the books to spread like confetti on the tables, have a sign that says Platform 9 3/4, have candles everywhere (you can light them prior to the shower and have the wax drip down), have "Love potion" and "polyjuice potion" drinks, etc.

Butterbeer! They have recipes online! If you really want to make it fun, put a shot of butterscotch liquor in there

Sorting hat can be incorporated a lot of different ways -- you can use it to pull "prizes" out of the way people use umbrellas at a more conventional shower.

@Deborah, I did find a costume sorting hat that I might use to actually sort people into the different houses for the games

Here are some ideas off the top of my head

Potions: Have guests guess what liquids they are smelling in "cauldrons"

Charms: Have a bracelet/charm making station

DATDA: Give the bride advice on how to avoid sticky situations with FH

Herbology: Give the bride advice on how to help their love grow

Have guests sign in on a scroll titled "Dumbledore's Army"

Have favors be cards like those found in chocolate frogs?

I'll put herbology signs up in the garden planters and I have chocolate frog dessert molds
