Has anyone coordinated their makeup/hair trial with their bridal shower?

No but sounds like a great idea!!

Right?? I'm considering it, the only downfall is if I don't like the outcome but my aunt is doing the makeup, she's done mine plenty of times. Hair is just down with loose waves.

Thats what I hope to do too! Well my friend is doing my makeup and as far as hair, I am going to experiment with trying to get it to curl,so i figured this would be a good time to try.

Nope, but my bridal shower is not planned yet...so who knows!

I wanted to do the trial the morning of my shower, but the shower starts at 1pm and I will offer to help my mom and FMIL with any setup they need, so it seems like there is a chance that I will feel like we rushed through it just so I could get to the shower on top. And also the artist I booked doesn't do trials on the weekends and my shower is a Sunday.

Speaking of, thats something you need to consider...if you're going to a salon to get your hair/makeup done its very hard to find one either open on a Sunday (if your shower is held on that day of the week) or early enough. We had our Epix done on a Sunday at noon and it took me forever to find a place that was even open let alone early enough to get me in, done and out the door before we had to meet the photog.

I did my trial the day of my engagement pictures. It worked out well.

I did my make up trial for my engagement pictures because my hair was shorter than it would be the day of the wedding so the hairstyle would be different but I'm doing my hair trial at my shower a month before the wedding.

Mine is the day of my boudior shoot! Which is the day before my shower. It was intentional to make me pretty for my boudior

I did trials for our engagements. having them done for your shower is great too. it's always nice to have an "occasion" to take advantage of your trials. lol.

I'm doing my second trial with my MUA for the day of the bridal shower. She is going to do the exact wedding day look so I can see how it'll be for the day.

The shower is on a Saturday and starts at 3. I would love to help set up but I'm being completely left in the dark by my MOH, I doubt I'll be allowed! I think I'll do this, thanks for the responses.

I always encourage my clients to plan their trial on a day when they will be taking photos or have an event. Sometimes it doesn't work out with my schedule and theirs but it's always nice to try to save some money.

I actually thought about coordinating my hair trial with my bach. party, but my hair stylist advised me not to.... she said I wouldn't want the same look in all of the pictures. I pretty much agreed with her.

I want to but then again I don't want everyone seeing what I plan for my hair to look like. I am sure no one else would care or remember but I don't know it kind of ruins the surprise for me. But who knows, I might end up doing it that way too haha

This is my plan. 2 weeks from now. Well.... at least the makeup part.

My shower is a brunch so I'll be having my makeup done at like 8 in the morning, but I'm hoping it helps me get a since of how it'll wear after a long day with running around and lots of hugs.

I was going to, however the shower is going to be much earlier than I thought. My hairstylist/MUA said that usually after a trial you look like a hot mess because you try different things, but I asked her if she could finish everything, so I would be ready to just go and she said yes. I think it's a great idea if the timing all works out!

My makeup trial is the morning of my shower. I couldn't manage to do both my hair and makeup trial--my shower is at 1, and I plan to help set up, so my makeup trial will be at like 9 AM. My hair trial is the day before though, so maybe if I'm super careful it will still look decent!

Yep, yep yep! I had my first trial for our engagement pictures and the next one will either be my bridal shower or bach party.

I'm planning on doing this for my trial! Might as well have hair and makeup done professionally for the shower too!
