Has anyone else decided on doing their own bouquet?

Hi ladies, I’m really trying to figure out if I should do my wedding bouquet alone with the bridesmaids (of course they will join me). Has anyone else try it or decided on? What is your thoughts please I’m thinking it saves money and makes them more special.

I did my own bouquets and centerpieces! I recommend watching some YouTube tutorials. The biggest advice I got from those is:

-buy proper materials. You'll need floral shears, floral tape (I got the waterproof kind!), pearl top pins, and ribbon to wrap

-for bouquets, start from the center (pick 4ish flowers to be your focal point), wrap them with tape to hold them together, then add more flowers/greenery in a circle around them, tape, and keep going layer by layer. My moh and mother's bouquets had two layers (the center, and then flowers around), and mine had...three? Or maybe four? Make sure you get that tape tightly in place so it holds together!

-do a small trial run a week in advance so you know the process

-do the flowers for the wedding itself the day before! Be super careful to keep the water clean - remove all leaves and flowers that will be under the waterline in your vases and make sure to actually use the flower food packets that come with the flowers! Gross water makes for sickly flowers that won't last. Smiley sad

    Good luck!
