Has anyone ever won anything from a bridal show?

So I went to a bridal show in toronto on setember 6- I'm sure some of you on here were there too. I got this call today from Kitchen Charm telling me that I won a bridal gift and when I called they were like, "We have this amazing gift for you.. So I went to a bridal show in toronto on setember 6- I'm sure some of you on here were there too. I got this call today from Kitchen Charm telling me that I won a bridal gift and when I called they were like, "We have this amazing gift for you.. You can have free rings or a 4 day/3 night honeymoon, BUT you have to come to the demonstration cooking class next weekend and stay the whole time to claim your prize." Now you can imagine how excited I was when I heard the first part, and then the "you must sit through 6 hours of us showing off our products and pressuring you into buying expensive things you don't need" came afterwards. DISAPPOINTMENT. Has anyone else gotten a call from them and went? or actually won something that had no strings attached?

I'm also curious if anyone has "actually" gone on the vacation they "won". I'm a firm believer in if it's too good to be true, then it probably is! My future inlaws won some kind of "free" all inclusive trip after sitting hours through a demo and then they "couldn't afford it"???

@Jay Photography- Your not wrong to say that at all. Contests are a good incentive for people to come to your booth, but hopefully they will like your work and book you anyways. I went to the bridal show mostly just so me and my bridesmaids could do something wedding-y together.

Like most of you said I am a firm believer that if I happen to be that lucky person to win a prize, I should just be given a prize, not be made to sit through demo because you want me to buy your stuff. That completely turns me off of the product your selling.
