Has anyone gotten married at a Sandals Resort?

I believe we're planning to have our wedding and honeymoon at a Sandals resort and I'm just wondering if anyone has done the same and if you have feedback?

Carly, we were going to do the free package but we wanted more options then just the basic wedding package.

I don't want you to think that just because my experience was horrible that everyone's will be. I do know a few brides that got married there and had a great time! It's all about what you want for your day!

I just found that bringing 40 people (I wasn't paying for them), trying to feed them, get the decor I wanted & having my dream wedding, it wasn't right for me.

I had 3 wedding coordinators, they kept giving me incorrect pricing for ad-on's. I did find I got better service when I upgraded my package. And I had one of the girls ask me to send her $ to pay rent.....I'm SO not kidding....

I've been to 7 of the resorts, they are beautiful! You will have a great time whichever. I did like Jamaica more then the Bahamas though....The people were a lot more friendly.

Hope this helps and just giving you my experienceSmiley smile

@Miss Cupcake - Thanks I'll bookmark that link and save it for the future for our guests!

@Binx - I think we're kind of in the market for a factory wedding, as odd as that may sound. I realized that wedding planning was not my thing and the details really don't matter to me, I just want to be married and have a wonderful time in paradise. Smiley smile

@August Bride - Oh that absolutely makes sense! I can see how getting married there with that many people and caring about the details would be so overly expensive! Who asked you for money for rent!!? What! My FH went to the Jamaica Sandals for his honeymoon with his ex wife, ewwy, so that's kind of why I chose Bahamas he he

I think the 1&3 are pro. I don't have access to any party pix, sorry :-/

this picture is the MOG & i'm gonna guess it's taken via friends/family but in the background you can see something... not sure what that portion is.

I am getting married at Sandals Negril. I started speaking directly with Sandals people but felt a little uneasy with their approach. I watched a wedding right on Beaches.com of a travel agent that had her wedding at Beaches and when I spoke to someone at Sandals, I asked who the agent was. Jackpot, she is awesome, has been through the experience, charges no fees and is their #1 group producer. Her company is VIP Vacations www.travelbyvip.com and my agent is Jennifer Donchez. Seriously, I am not stressed at all and my guests love her. Which is so reassuring too!
