Has anyone had an Wedding with less than...

Lav, on March 21, 2021 at 10:09 PM Posted in Planning 1 16
Hi girls, has anyone had an Yard/Garden Outdoor Wedding with less than 5K, I am trying to prioritize the most important things for my wedding day, I would love to hear about your experience and tips.

For that price would include:- church ceremony- marriage license- food / beverage- guest favors- cake / cake top- photographer / videographer- save the dates + invitations- flowers- candles- wedding signs- extra decorations- bride hair + makeup
And some other things that I have not yet finish choosing... let me know, how y’all saved money.
Tbank you

I would start by cutting out anything unnecessary, such as favors, wedding signs, and a cake topper. I would look at restaurant catering for food, and make consider skipping the videographer (videographers are very expensive, as are photographers). Ann's Bridal Bargains has really cheap invitations and save the dates, but I would also consider skipping the save the dates, especially since your wedding is already 7 months outs.

My wedding is in 2022, but thank you.
Everything I listed above fits in the budget of 5K
I still have around 2K to fill out 🤗

Many couples do that everyday with no problem. It's all about priorities and what you are willing to cut.

If you are on a budget, the first things to go are favors and programs no one keeps. Save your money for food/beverages/entertainment that guests remember and photos you will have forever.

Thank you! I will keep that in mind.
My favors are food, so I am keeping them, it’s tradition on my country 🤗

Get a venue through the parks department. Have your favorite restaurant deliver pans of corporate catering drop off service. Cake from a grocery store. Flowers from fiftyflowers.com will be $$$$ cheaper than silks/wood. Avoid the word wedding whenever possible..

Their website lists guidelines. No earlier than a week. But order a batch for a test run anytime.

Definitely utilize Amazon or see about doing some DIY yourself. We used Walmart for appetizers ( cheese pepperoni and crackers tray, lunchmeat tray and rolls, etc), our cake was from a grocery store, we got our invitations from Walgreens. For candles you can look at dollar tree! Decorations even Amazon, Walmart or stores like Hobby Lobby or Christmas tree shop

One of the best tips is to keep it simple. Keep your guest list as small as possible. I don’t know what you’re planning but a cake and punch type reception is classy and affordable. Catering is one of the most expensive parts of a wedding. So, at least keep it simple.
We’re hoping to have a iced coffee bar, cake, and mini desserts for people to grab and chat. My budget is $3,500 hopefully I can stick to it 😆

As low as we can for a wedding is the best thing! Simple and special. I would love to be at $3500, but I really want to marry in a Church, I will be doing my reception at a family property, but still not certain if I want tent or not, don’t know.. I will definitely need tables and chairs. Thank you for your tip!
