Has anyone here actually NOT invited their problem in laws?

With all our issues with our future in laws, has anyone actually NOT invited theit problem in laws to the wedding? Has anyone ever had their in laws not show up to the wedding? I am considering NOT inviting my FMIL, but just want to see if anyone has had the same thoughts as me.

My husband and I both declined to invite our grandmothers. If your FH is OK with not inviing his family (and I mean 'really OK' not just humoring you) go for it.

I say leave that 100% to FH. It's his mom...let him deal with it. If she comes...then you just have to grin and bear it. I would prefer to not invite my FMIL...but FH wants to...and who am I to tell him he can't have his own mother at his wedding. BUT...he's also said he will be the first one to escort her out if she causes problems. Leave it to HIM. It's really not for you to make that decision alone.

Well, my son uninvited me to his wedding, and his now wife made accusations that were false, but truthful in her mind.

They let me prepare to travel across the US to be their, and it was far more expensive than I expected.
I'm done. The ball is not in their court on this one. When they contact me, I let them know I letvthem know when I want to see them.
I hope they don't need help down the load, but she has her parents. Call them.
