has anyone here completed Insanity?

Laura, on October 16, 2013 at 9:44 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 17

So I just started month 2 of insanity today. I may die. I'm a little disappointed cause I only lost one pound and one inch on my waist in the first month but that's prob because the first month took me 6 weeks cause I usually don't work out on weekend. Has anyone done it and can tell me if theyhad more success the second month?

FH did it. he's more active than me. lol. i think it's his navy background... he's used to working out and is really good at cardio. he had pretty good results. weight and inches lost.

i, on the other hand... yeah. i tried it. once. just the warm up... i didn't finish. my work out was basically gasping for air and cursing at the tv.

i'm a wuss. lol. that crap is seriously... insanity. lol.

I have it in my closet. I tried it once and the warm up made me puke! I need to pull it back out and make myself get through it.

Think about the inch lost! One pound lost isn't much, but definitely one inch is WAY more than a pound. My guess is that your lack of loss is all muscle gain! You should see much more improvement month two.

Have you ever held a pound weight in your hand? one pound doesn't sound like much, but really it is.

i've had to remind myself that a lot. lol.

I use the videos about 4 times a week. It keeps me in shape and toned. I generally dont loose weight because of the muscle mass that you gain, but you will see results in the way your clothes fit. It is very important to stay on a sugar/carb diet to see extreme results. I lost 2 dress sized in a month last summer! It can be done!!

We actually used to have an Insanity WW group. We all started together and kept each other going, I'd be willing to start it again if you were interested!

And OTW- trust me, Candice can kick much more butt than I can!

I tried it, just the warm up.. I thought doing it in my sons room would give me more space. After a few of the work outs i knocked down two of his shelves that had his baseball trophys he had just received a week before... they were in pieces. So i saw it as a sign lol... started running outdoors instead

I did it twice through - once two years ago and once a year ago. I kept saying I'd do it for the wedding but never did Smiley smile It definitely helped tone up everything, I didn't loose a ton of weight or inches but I just wanted it for toning and thats what I got out of it.

The first week sucks in month 2, but it gets easier!! I promise!

I completed Insanity and T25..and while they're good workouts, I just find doing the same thing every single day for such a long time to be more "work" than just going to the gym. That being said, yes, you typically see more results in the second month.

I didn't do Insanity, but have done similar workouts. In my experience, results kind of seem minor until about 3/4 of the way through. Keep at it! Good luck!

I never made it past the first week on the second month lol ... I did it as directed the first 6 weeks. Now I just do the workouts 3-4 days a week. I get bored every so often and go back to the gym take some cycle classes etc... Wow I can def tell the difference when I go back. Nothing keeps me in shape and tones my muscles like insanity

Shaun T graduated from the college I went to!! I never got into Insanity because I kind of stopped working out after college. But back in the day we were all about P90X.
