Has anyone ordered a Vistaprint Lawn Sign?

Kristen, on June 22, 2012 at 1:14 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 17

I'm thinking about getting one to use as our "Choose a seat, not a side" sign for the ceremony, but I can't find any information on the VP site about what these signs are made of. Can anyone who's ordered one tell me, are they mounted on foamcore, or cardboard, or something else? Are they fairly sturdy? Are they laminated/shiny or are they matte? Any insight is appreciated! Thanks!

I ordered some to designate parking, since parking for our ceremony is a couple blocks away and there are two parking lots right next to each other. They are fairly sturdy, made of a light weight plastic material. I'm at work, but I don't remember them being shiny, I'm thinking they were more matte. They are open on each side. So the middle is not filled in. Not sure if that makes sense. They are not solid. I got the metal yard sign posts. I could take some photos for you later tonight or tomorrow if you want.

I have gotten several of the free lawn signs (so the smaller size). I am using them for us to hold up in our pictures.

They are kind of shiny. If the sun hit them they would glare a bit, but not to where you couldn't see them. They are fairly sturdy as well. I think they would work for what you are trying to use them for.

Ok, awesome, thanks ladies! Courtney, I think I know what you mean about them being open in the middle, no need to take pics (unless you want to show us your design!).

I love Cate's free signs. The board is sort of cardboard. The metal is sturdy. We spray painted it white. We are using it outside the house, in the gardens for the pictures.

I also need to get another sign to instruct our guests that Cate's ballroom is not the first one, but the one all the way at the end of the drive. We don't want guests parking outside the other wedding building and walking in what I will assume to be August heat. I just don't know how to phrase it.

Thanks to Hayley for her monogram!

I have ordered them as well for business as well as my wedding and they are pretty sturdy. They have a little shine to them. Here are the 3 I ordered for my wedding.

I'm loving the signs ladies, I was actually going to make a similar post because I was considering getting some made as well. I'm thinking they look pretty good from what you ladies have posted.

Thanks ladies, I just ordered! I got one sign to point people towards the venue, one of the "choose a seat" signs, and I also threw in some gift tags and a t-shirt for FH that I hope gets a laugh:

Great everyone liked their signs. Did everyone buy the stands too or just get their own? I am wanting to order some to aid in locating the venue. Does anyone have a good VP email with deals on signs in it? Smiley smile If not I think I saw another groupon...I am so addicted now LOL

Vista print is nice but they're extremely expensive. i have a wedding planning company and we recommend printherehouston.com they have digital signs for a really good price

there's all sorts of ways to use them too. sometimes we post dinner options on the signs... other times they can be used for the wedding schedule/program. or directing where to go if the venue is huge... just place the sign on an easel. for about $20-$30 bucks they do the job very well.
