Has anyone sent invites to celebrities / famous figures?

@Kelly I had the same thought! I didn't know this was a thing, but seeing as many people have received something back I am going to send some invites to my FH's favorite athletes and see what I get in return!

I was planning on sending one to David Tennant and Metallica but am now thinking of adding one or two more :-)

Well now I'm planning on inviting Luke Bryan because why the hell not? AND one of my BM's (and me) might just pass out from sheer excitement if he stepped within 10ft of us...

Also half the WWE roster may now be getting invites because A) FH, and B) best man is a wrestler and has been trying to get into the WWE, though he did just do a bunch of training with they're developmental league, and he does interviews and recaps for one of their websites....

I thought about David Tennant, but invited Arthur Darvill and Karen Gillian instead...didn't get replies from either.

We did a couple other musicians, (Bjork, Tori Amos), and Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman.

Oddly enough, I had a huge conversation with Amanda Palmer via twitter, because hers initially got returned. She made it a point to get me in touch with her assistant, so that we could send it to the correct address, but we never got anything back after that. (I'm sure she got busy, you know, being a mom, and putting out records. lol)

A friend of mine invited Seth McFarlane- they love Family Guy and used Two Sleepy People as their first dance song. He sent back a letter and an autographed drawing of Stewie.

David Tennant is now going on our list! It's short so far (Future POTUS, Vice President Biden and Dr. Biden (they're like Delaware's mascots!), Ron Hextall (FH's screen-name on the online site where we met include a Hextall reference...), and Hon. Ruth Bader Ginsburg), though I'm sure I'll think of more! I'll have to have a b-list for celebrity guests!

We sent approx 10 to celebrities. But most importantly...

BRETT FAVRE..... Because, Brett! Gahhhhh!

We sent 8 so far to celebrities and have a few more we want to send. We haven't received anything back yet since we just sent them last week.

Funny story though. FH is a huge fan of the NWHL, specifically the NY Riveters and wanted to send them an invite. Two days after we sent them the invite, they posted what in the attached screenshot.

Eta: Celebrities we've invites so far are the NY Riveters, the President, I fight dragons, Stephen Amell, Henrik Lunquist, Neil Patrick Harris, Bill Nye and Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

Yup Leigh. The Does He Love you song is Reba and Linda Davis. Linda Davis is my FMIL cousin. Linda Davis is Hillary Scott's mother so she is my FH cousin. My FMIL even sent Hillary a baby gift lol

For awhile I had really wanted to ask Rob Dydrek to be our officiant lol, we are so in love with his shows but I decided against it in the end. Maybe he'll get an invite too.
