Has anyone submitted their photos (wedding or engagement) to any websites? If so, were you featured?

ETA: wedding magazines to the list above as @Jessica mentioned them and I forgot lol

'I hate that most of them don't even bother to give the officiant credit. The cufflinks? Yep. The officiant? Sometimes.'

Pfft, you just marry the couple.

but then that's what these magazines do, promote and sell the fluff.

@Natalie, very true. It takes more time and thought (and heart) to come up with a ceremony for the couple than to place a 5-minute order online for Hugo Boss cufflinks!

I submitted our engagement photos to wedding guide Chicago!! That's us in the top left. I got permission before sending the photos in, but our photographer was super excited to be featured.

We submitted our photos and gave info on our wedding and photographer. It was so exciting to finally get the magazine!!

@Brie, that's so cool! That's probably a huge compliment to your photographer, that you considered their work worthy to be featured and that a magazine felt the same way! That's awesome, thanks for sharing that Smiley smile)

You can also submit your wedding pictures and video to be featured on WeddingWire and GayWeddings! You can submit as a couple or as a photographer - the photographer will need the couple's consent to submit your pictures, and the couple needs the photographer's consent to submit their work for publication consideration.

Here's the link to submit to WeddingWire:

My hubby and I did a stylized shoot a month before the wedding that was published twice

Then I just got an email last night that our real wedding is being published with "East Carolina Bride" but I dont have a link or anything for that yet.

The photographers for both, submitted for publishing.

@Jessica R., that's so cool! Your photos are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing! What exactly entails a styled shoot? Like what makes it different from a normal photo session?

@Amanda, a stylized shoot is something where a bunch of vendors collaborate a theme and solely use it for marketing purposes. My day of coordinator was just starting out so she orchestrated all of the vendors to provide things from vendors in which they would received photo rights so they could use them on their site. All the dresses, rings, hair, makeup, suits, cake, flowers, decor, venue, etc were brought in and we spent the morning getting ready and then doing whatever poses they wanted us to have. It was so much fun and helped us get over nerves before our actual wedding and I have two different wedding photos now which is great because I really wanted my man in suspenders and he was soooo against it and of course wanted them after this shoot. So I ended up getting some pics with suspenders then some with our wedding Smiley smile

Here is the blog post from my wedding so you can see how different the two were:

Ours was featured on Borrowed & Blue and New Jersey Bride...

I asked my photographer for her permission and she said yes and then gave me some tips on the types of photos they like to publish. Since neither of them took all photos and I had to select 75-100 to submit.
