Has anyone tried tape in extensions?

Ka-Rina, on October 31, 2018 at 9:41 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 6
I'm scared to go ahead and blow hundreds of dollars to then end up w even thinner hair than I started with. Anyone have experience? I am told tape extensions are the safest and easiest on the hair option

I actually heard that clip ins are the safest and easiest option. You will lose some of your hair when you remove tape ins. If you have thick, full hair then maybe not as much of a concern, but I'm guessing that if you need extensions in the first place (like me) you might have thinner, more damaged hair.

Yea clip ins didn't work for me. Too much hassle on a daily basis...

I had tape ins put in for thickness. They were great. Stayed in pretty long as well. I do recommend letting your stylist remove them though. It minimizes any damage and hair loss. I probably left mine in a little too long but was still able to get them removed without much hassle.

    Hello Ka-rina!

I used to have tape-in extensions! I found they worked really well for my hair (I have very fine, thin hair). I used to have the bead extensions but my hair was so fine that the beads often showed through - especially if I was wearing my hair up! The tape in extensions were a really awesome compromise for me because I was getting the volume/length that I wanted without destroying my hair/it being noticeable that I had hair extensions. However, I do know that every person is different and it's best to consult with a trusted hair stylist before making any final decisions!

Are you thinking of getting extensions for volume, length, or both? Is there a particular hair style you want for your wedding day that you feel you need them for?!

    Thanks for the info!
I actually want them for every day life not just wedding.
How much was it to adjust them? Im reading you have to do it every 6-8 weeks

Yes! I adjusted them every 6 weeks or so and paid about $60 for that service! I know the rate can be different depending on which salon you go to, which stylist you go to (some stylists cost more if they have more years of experience), and how many extensions you have in your hair!
