I love your friends’ suggestion! I think that’s killer funny; and I go that would be offended uses social media anyway? I’m sorry to say that creativity eludes me, so I can’t offer another suggestion. I haven’t even come up with ONE of our own😂!

Dear Dawn,

Yeah our last names are Abbema and Mahaffey, and I'll be hyphenating mine. The only good suggestion I've found, wasn't actually a suggestion. At one of his cousin's wedding #MarryingMahaffey was their hashtag and although I thought it was weak, its integrity holds strong, but I'm not going to use her hashtag, I think that would be rude. Maybe we won't have one? I have all of the digital rights to the photos and we're asking for a photo printer as one of our larger items on our registry so I was just going to send everyone pictures with them in it anyways...

However I do understand the want/need to have a social media presence or to be able to share with other family and relatives through platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I really love your first name, and feel as though you could do #DawnOfTheTrucksess? Would that be the plural? Maybe too fantasy-esque? It includes your first name and his last name; however it emphasizes that you're changing your name at the same time! I think it sounds very power couple-esque. Like the Dawning of a new era. Plus, who doesn't love a good pun?

Anyways, thanks again for your post! If we end up doing a wedding hashtag, we'll have to have something more PG as well , and it's a bummer because it's a no-child affair, haha!

Uh-Bee-ma (Abbema), and ma-ha-fee, with the ha pronounced the same as in half (Mahaffey)!
