Hate my hair

Already had my wedding and waiting on pro pics. We went to a salon and we all hated our hair, and tried to fix it when we got back. I have short hair and asked for loose waves - instead I got flat hair with stiff, tight curls starting a third of the way. It looked ok once we fixed it, but not what I was imagining (and I had a very realistic picture). I am just regretting my hair and just wish I had my friend give me a sleek low bun (and would’ve saved $400). And based on other girls I’ve talked to and posts on here, it seems like no one on earth knows how to do hair, or even something remotely close to an inspiration picture.

Overall, the wedding was great and went smoothly, and it’s just hard for me not to dwell on my hair! We just paid so much for the wedding and photographer, I just really hope the pictures turn out great. I guess this was more of a rant, but feel free to chime in with your day of hair/makeup stories.

I'm sure you looked stunning

For me, I showed the hair salon lady a picture of my inspo. I don't think it looks like it ahah but what she did do was nice anyway! But my hair didn't really stay in curls the whole night but supposedly it's because my hair is very naturally straight or she didn't use enough spray, not sure.

I would leave a review on the salon. Did you have a trial beforehand? So sorry that happened, but glad to hear the wedding was great anyway! I am friends with a hair stylist and she's also one of my bridesmaids. She can literally look at a picture for color and style, and it'll look just like the picture. Some people were born with that talent and others are trying to force it because they love their job. It's just a hit and miss. A friend of mine had some girl come do hair for her wedding. I showed the girl a picture of what I wanted and my hair was not even similar to the picture. Luckily the bride's hair looked amazing compared to the bridesmaids'. My thing is, if a hair stylist can't do the style you are showing them, they should be upfront and honest.

Hey there! I'm so sorry that this happened with your hairstylist and that you are not happy with how it looked on your beautiful day. Just remember that you are your own worst critic, and I'm sure you looked absolutely beautiful on your wedding day.
I hope that when you get your photos back, you will remember all of the wonderful memories of your wedding day.

Yes, I did write a review. I didn't do any trial since it wasn’t “bridal” hair. I have a thick short bob and just wanted waves so I figured it couldn’t be too difficult. I am trying not to dwell on it, and I think I just felt a little stressed post wedding thinking about what I would’ve changed. Eagerly waiting for my pro pics!
