Have you argued with your parents or in-laws about the wedding?

Time to fess up!! Have you had a heated disagreement or two with your parents or in-laws about the wedding? Are you innocent or guilty? Next Question: Have you forgotten to wear your ring? Back to the Beginning: Innocent or Guilty?

Innocent of this one. FH family fully supports whatever I decide to do for the wedding because they understand that the day is not about them, it's about me and FH. My family on the other hand still doesn't know about the engagement even though it's been 7 months. I'm expecting many arguments once I tell them.

I have had a few discussions with my Mom but not a full on argument. She has her opinions and they don't always match mine haha

Mostly my mom and a little with his parents. They didn’t want us to get married so soon. My mom wanted us to wait THREE YEARS. Um no thanks. I love there help and input but our wedding is about us and it was hard to get everyone on the same page for a little. But it’s been smooth sailing for a while now! And the wedding is a little less than a year away!!!!

So far no issues at all with my parents and future in-laws! However we're just under a year out, so lot's of time and planning left to do. Fingers crossed for no arguments!

Innocent. My parents have been wonderful. My mom "gifted" us cash for the DJ and my father and stepmom "gifted" us money for whatever, paid for the sweets table, and are paying for my shower. They haven't put any conditions or demands on their gifts, which is respectful, IMO. I wouldn't pay for my child's wedding or gift her something and then try to dictate how she plans it. My FIL's aren't involved at all and that's fine by me.

Guilty, I am in the beginning stages and I mostly argue with my mom. I want a small, low key, romantic wedding. But she is trying to plan the wedding she never had ( a huge extravagant party).

Innocent. My mother has passed...but, we would never disagree she owned a Florist for 40 years and I would have loved all if her ideas.
My Daddy has dementia...so no arguments there.
He is estranged from his Mother . we dont discuss plans with his Dad.
