We chose him off of Wedding Wire. Rev. Earl Bolam. One of the BEST things we did! He was a huge hit not only with us but also with our guests. He's charming, funny, and he looks like Santa. He's a Vietnam Vet who dresses up like Santa each Christmas for children's and vet's hospital.

Initially I wanted this pastor I've known all my life but he was like but at your wedding I just wanna relax xD so we ended up choosing another pastor in our congregation

This is the one area where we are still struggling. I first asked my cousin, who is an actual minister. But his church elders thought it was some kind of conflict. Plus, the more we talked, the more my cousin felt uncomfortable with my position on God. So, that's out. I'm struggling because I really wanted someone who knows us to marry us. Not some random dude we met one time. What do I do? Following this to see what others are doing.

We picked my brother. Very excited about it. He was definitely surprised when we asked but I think hes looking forward to it.

Oh I LOVE this idea!! We haven't decided yet, but would love to consider using one of our good friends. Someone who knows us well and can add a bit o comedy here and there.

Yes.... my uncle who is a ordained minister is our officiant. God placed him on my heart and that's who I picked, and my fiancé agreed.

We have chosen our officiant! Our officiant was actually one of my best friends in high school and still is a close friend to my fiancé and i today!

Our officiant is the druid of my grove (Irish polytheist group). The minute we got engaged, it was almost automatic. He and his wife have went on a few double dates with us and we get along really well. I actually considered bringing in his wife as a bridesmaid but she is running our music for the ceremony instead. In previous weddings, he's been able to please multiple faiths. I am so excited to have him officiate our wedding.

We chose my FH's cousin who is also a minister. He has such a good personality. I met him years before at a church I used to go to before FH and I were even a "thing" and he has always remained the same. I am happy that he will be marrying us. We wouldn't have it any other way.
