Kind of. I used to work as a wedding coordinator at the campus chapel during college. The couple didn't show up for their rehearsal, which was strange, but I thought maybe they got busy and decided a rehearsal wasn't vital. Then the next day, they never showed up! I was worried all morning thinking *I* would end up having to break the news to their guests, but no guests showed up either. The florist and an organist did, though.

Nope, but my BFF seriously freaked before hers. They've been married 15 years now though so it was all for naught.

My cousin's wedding and according to my mom, my uncle's first wedding...my cousin walked halfway down the aisle and broke down in tears and shot the groom a week middle finger before leaving the room (turns out he saw and slept with his ex the other night and told her his feelings for the other woman were strong)...

My uncle's bride refused to say "I do" after the preacher said "do you promise to give him your body"...the ceremony was at a standstill for fifteen minutes...

I've never been to an unsuccessful wedding personally but was wondering about it because I'd never seen it brought up in the forums before.

I was a BM in a wedding in my 20's. The bride had a CRAZY bachelorette party. I didn't attend. I was recovering from food poisoning. From what I heard, there was heavy drinking, flashing and oral sex. I guess someone took pictures that got back to the groom just before the wedding was to start. We were all dressed and ready to procession down the aisle when we heard the groom canceling the ceremony. The bride was devastated and ran into the church crying. He then told her (in front of all of the guests) he saw the photos from her bachelorette party and began to describe what he saw her doing. She began begging for another chance telling him it was the alcohol. He told her that he would not marry her and walked out. His family and guests left and went to the reception and partied all not.

Her mother/sisters tried to console her, but to no avail. Her guests began to get up and leave (some of which I noticed shaking their heads) One of her aunts said I knew she would "F" this up somehow.

Nicole, you should have been there! I couldn't believe what I was actually experiencing. I mean, you see things like this in soap operas and dramas, but when it plays out while you are standing there, you just don't know what to do. I literally stood there in the ceremony for what seemed like an hour thinking, this is not real.

I had a friend who got so trashed the night before her wedding that I thought she would end up hospitalized. She made it. Barely.

My friend's brother ended up holding his wedding ceremony out of the back of an ambulance... He and his buddies got so drunk the night before that he passed out at the alter due to dehydration. They called an ambulance and they gave him and IV while he said his "I Do's." Made for some interesting pictures and stories :p

I was just telling my FH about this thread and some of these stories and he told me one. He said he once heard about a bride to be cheating on her fiancé with the best man or one of the groomsmen. The pictures ended up getting back to the groom. He went on with the ceremony, but made copies of the picture. He placed a copy of the picture under each chair at the reception. At the reception he told everyone what she did and where they could find the photographic proof. He then proceeded to leave the reception and got an annulment.

^ Why would you not stop it before you finished the ceremony? Getting an annulment after is more work than I think it'd be worth. Just time things better, LOL!

Future ms.panda...that's a harsh story! Why not just call it off ? Just trying to share the humiliation I guess.

Future Mrs. Panda that groom made the news!!!

Y'all it wouldn't be annulled, all the time. A license has to be filed after the ceremony. So all he has to do was not sign the license and tear it up.

I haven't, but I do have to admit, I worry about objections at my own.

There are a few people who are not happy with my choice.

@Ann V. Same here...my FH has two children from a previous and horrible marriage...and he's older than me...and they say that when I become his wife I'll be knocked up and prego and won't finish school...

I'm seriously considering omitting the part about objections...

Andre'ya - My FI is an alcoholic, my parents worry, but are still supportive, however my brother absolutely hates him and tells me I deserve better.

My best friend hates him as well and has sided with my brother....

and I have a man from my past who has begged me not to marry him and threatens that he will show up and stop the wedding if I do 'attempt to go through with it'.
