Have you ever thought about eloping?

No! I want to enjoy the marriage celebration with close family friends we love. However, I’m fine with it only being a smaller wedding of about 50.

I wanted to but I worry it would hurt family members feelings but a few days ago I got confirmation that some of my fh family is okay with us eloping.They explained be it's our wedding we gotta do what we want.

Guilty. We are married. We did a tiny backyard ceremony in February. Our parents don’t know we’re married yet !!!!!! The big ceremony is for everyone to be there to see us get married. We just wanted to get it done and over with. No hassle etc. it’s very hard I wish we could tell our parents we’re already married. Probably wasn’t the best choice but I wouldn’t change it for the world

I'm guilty of it. There have been a few times during this process it hasn't been "fun". Looking for a venue...parents constantly giving input (thats not helpful)....family members upset because they are not in the wedding party... and thats just todays phone calls I've dealt with.... and we still have a year to go..... thankfully I have a wonderful fiance who finally told the parents if we need help we will ask, and we will update family members as we decide what we want for our special day. So please don't ask if we've decided on colors every day this week like you did last week....

Innocent, although I’m not one who’s been dreaming of a wedding for years, and never thought I would get married until FH came along. I just can’t imagine not celebrating us with our loved ones present. I know the wedding day is not nearly as important as every day after that and a beautiful wedding does not equal a beautiful marriage, but I would like us to have one day that is kinda all about us for a change!

It has crossed my mind. My FH thinks about it more then I do 😂

Guilty!! We had planned to elope from before we got engaged but after finding my dress, we both talked about how we wanted to share our special day with our closest family and friends. We transitioned from eloping out of state to the smallest wedding we can have with our large families (around 80). Definitely made his mom and my sisters much happier!

Guilty, when I’m stressed I just wanna go to Vegas lol

I requested the elope before all this. But someone (husband to be) wants this big ass wedding to show what to whom I don't know. All I know is that is not what I wanted.

When we first got engaged the idea of planning a wedding was daunting and something I couldn't imagine doing and wanting to elope was definitely on the table. My FH's father told me I'd probably regret it and he was right.

We totally have. And if he had his way we would have had a destination wedding.
