Have you ever won a wedding contest/giveaway?

Yes, I won a free wedding, and I have won things from local bride shows as well!!! It happens. I say enter everything!!!

K.K. The things you won, were they random drawings or have you won any "vote for me" contests. The reason I ask is I have posted on FB numerous times a day, trying to get votes I have sent out hundreds and hundreds of tweets to get retweeted for this contest on FB that is strictly won by votes.

I won a $500 hair product gift basket from a bridal show a few weekends ago, it was a draw. It's the first thing I've ever won in my life!

Danielle E. I feel the same way. Right now we are in the top 100 and we need to be in the top 25. Last year we did the Amazing Ring Race and placed 24 out of 150 teams. I feel like we do well, but just not good enough to win

I know someone who won one of the fb vote type.. she literally posted about it multiple times a day though and had like 10 friends doing the same.

I won through a contest where I had to submit a paragraph story about our dream wedding and then had to create a pinboard on pinterest. I was selected as a finalist, interviewed, and chosen as a winner.

The other stuff, I won at bridal shows have been through a raffle or drawings.

I guess the fb type contest depend on marketing strategies? It seems that way.

We won a restaurant gift card (it was a drawing) at a local bridal show a few weeks ago. $100 that we will use towards catering for our rehearsal dinner!

I am not sure. Both of us have posted and posted along with our friends and families doing the same for us. I am just glad to know that there is someone out there that has really won from these. I came in 3rd place for a Nike "believe in the run" contest a few years ago that was based on votes. I got nothing. To this day, I believe the winner cheated, created many accounts, and voted for herself a number of times. I've not entered anything voter-based since then.

Oh, then when I was 17, I did win $100 for being one of the 5 finalists (and youngest in the history of the contest which was a sorta big deal. We got the news page framed, lol.) for the t-shirt design contest for the Peachtree Road Race, a world-famous 10k that is held in atlanta, GA every july 4th, in the boiling heat!

I won a photoshoot that I entered at a wedding expo. She took your pic at the expo and posted it on FB for votes for two weeks, and I had the most at over 1100 votes. I think that these FB contests are real, but you have to have a huge networking system...I know that I wouldn't have won if not for all the WW ladies that I know on FB.

I've entered and entered and entered for wedding contests and NOTHING! Oriental trading has one going on right now until September. Keeping my fingers cross as they pick winners weekly!

Nope just a bunch or emails from people trying to get me to use their business after I signed up for giveaways.

I just won a contest for My Dainty Delights butterfinger Cupcakes on FB. I had to get people to say I sent them and I won! Im going to go pick up my 12 butterfinger Cupcakes tomorrow

Fi and I were chosen for a dream wedding giveaway! It is insane what they are putting into this wedding for us. We didnt enter anything I had already chosen and signed with our wedding planner and she chose us for the wedding giveaway! The big things are paid for

I think thats it.. basically they contact all the vendors that want to be involved and then they say what they want to contribute!
