Have you ever won a wedding contest/giveaway?

I won our honeymoon to Fiji. Just had to fill out a form at a bridal show to enter. I still can't believe we won!! can't wait!! We just have to get from NJ to CA and pay the taxes, which is nothing compared to the total price of the trip.

I also won a few Lenox items (cake cutting knife, toasting flutes, topper, etc.) from another bridal show.

Not wedding really, but will probably use it the wedding. I came home to $70 Rack Room shoe gift card that I won on FB in Dec.

Ugh so jealous of you winners lol. I won a happy hour for a couple drinks for up to 100 people at a dueling piano bar. Still havent used it. I am already planning one party and dont have time to plan another.

I won the WeddingWire contest on FB in Decemeber! I got the Dessy prize pack, and thank god I didn't pay for the earrings because they are as cheap as ever.

I have won nearly $4000 worth of stuff for my wedding through various contests and giveaways. I no longer enter the FB vote contests because they are very difficult to win. There are websites and other FB pages where you can request votes, there are also sites where you can purchase votes.

My fiance and I won a $6000 Dream Wedding giveaway for DJ entertainment! It was a Facebook contest where we needed to have the most votes to win. The prize consists of music for cocktail hour, DJ and MC and music for reception, "dancing under the stars", full room up-lighting, dance club lighting, two plasmas and a photobooth! The company was Premium Entertainment (www.premiumdj.com). We are getting married in two days and I cannot wait to see how everything comes together!!

We just won our engagement pictures and our day after photos! Very Excited and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the photographer!

@Janelle. There are a number of wedding related blogs and FB pages that host contests and giveaways. I find them through google. I suggest being specific about what you want to win (veil, garter, gown, favors, invitations, etc.) and target those giveaways. Some require you to like FB pages or follow on Twitter or leave a comment. Others use rafflecopter. Most are legitimate, some are scams (or rigged) so be careful. As I said, I no longer enter the ones that come down to FB votes. I used to enter them but they are time consuming and my friends started complaining about my daily requests for votes. I once did an all out campaign and ended with a $50 gift card. LOL. Good luck! Word of caution, however, entering contests/giveaways can become addictive. I spend about 2 hours each night looking for and entering them.

Did you have to pay anything out of pocket or was there a cap on how much they allowed you to spend? I got nominated for something similar but It pushes our day up by 8 months. I'm very worried about budget bc we had a timeline for saving and majority of it was after the date of the wedding giveaway!

Yeah, we went to a bridal show and won a free tux rental for whatever tux my fiance wants so he chose the nicest one.

I really would like to win a wedding giveaway. I made a sacrifice for alot of people who evacuated from Savannah, and from ft pierce FL. I shared my home and booked hotels for those who were unable to afford hotels. With god all things is possible. My goal is to open a 3 story shelter that look like a hotel and every year around hurricane season allow 300 low income family's to stay for free. We will provide food clothing and ect. I love to help and give to those who really in need. Because I went through domestic violence in the past. It gave me a different outlook on life. My goal is to love more, for give and never hate, always have a positive mind set and let go negative.

I just attended the Portland Or, Wedding Expo on 10/17/21. I entered my name in to everything I could find in there that would allow me. I am set to be married next September and am already 25k in to my wedding/honeymoon. I figured what the heck, it's worth a try and I can't loose anything. Today 10/19/21 I was listening to my VM and had a message from a women stating that I had won the big prize from the drawing I entered at the Expo. My first thought was ok yeah right, but I said whatever, I will call. I called and the lady told me congratulations and blah, blah, blah... She said my name was pulled and I have won a package that includes 3 prizes.


1. My choice of two wedding bands with engravings if I choose from JVL Jewelers. 2. 3 day 2 night stay at my choice of the Bahamas, Mexico or somewhere else I didnt quite make out, or if I chose to stay in the US then they had over 100 places to choose from. Included was hotel, food, drinks, and beach excursions. I do have to pay for airfare though. I have 1 year to use.3. My choice of personalized engraved champagne flutes or a $200 gift card to go towards my best wedding photo turned in to a painting or something.
At this point I'm still like yeah ok.... you can tell in her voice that she is very confused about my blah reaction which we laughed over later.
Anyways, she gave me my claim number and said I need to go to the Portland Marriot and there I will get to be on some cooking show and partake in the food etc.. afterwards I pick up my prize and that's it.
I asked, what is the catch? She said nothing, you do not have to buy a thing. You won! At that point she gave me all her info, who I check in with, ai was set up with an appt, etc.. At this point I begin to get excited, but I will know for sure when I go to claim my gift. My rational brain tells me to be on guard, but everything seems legit so I'm excited.
