We didn't do a budget, no reason to stress if we need it we need it and just found the cheapest possible or it wasn't that big of a need.

Right now we’re under budget, but depending on which venue and caterer we go with, we might get closer to the budget but still off max budget by $1000

Once we finally came to terms with what was realistic, we were able to stay within our budget. We have also been fortunate enough to have some help from family.

We probably spent more on FHs suit than we thought, however, he'll have plenty of occasions to wear his suit again. We went the custom route for his suit since he's tall, has long legs and arms, and broad shoulders. It was still cheaper than altering a suit off the rack, and the quality of the garment is great! It'll last him a lifetime-- you get what you pay for!

We didn't have a budget, but we had a lot of connections (free venue, husband's a chef so his friends cooked, bought my dress on sale, discount on alcohol... the most expensive thing was the photographer) so we kept it pretty affordable. It was like $4,000 and we had been saving for it.

Guilty and innocent - Innocent because we never really set a budget but guilty because of the amount of money we're spending could be used elsewhere.

Guilty, we wanted to stay around $10K. My dress alone was $500 over, and we had no idea how expensive photo/video was.

I kept my parents and my FIL well within their respective budgets. However, I didn't set a budget for the things that my FH and I were going to pay for ...soooo kind of I suppose

Not yet, so far all I've gotten is my dress, and my mom surprised me by paying for it, so our budget is free and clear.
