Haven't heard back from wedding vendor in a while

Sarah, on July 25, 2018 at 3:52 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

I picked the same location for both ceremony and reception and had let my contact at the venue know we were going to go through with booking on July 10th. He replied right away and asked for an address so he could draw up the contract and he would email me when it was ready. I replied right away as well, but I haven't heard anything back yet and it's been 2 weeks. Do these things usually take longer or should I email him again? He's been very responsive in our previous emails.

Email him again. They should be able to get you the contract within a couple days tops. Maybe it fell off his radar.

I'd follow up. I got pretty much all of my contracts same day or next day for my vendors once I said I wanted to book them

I would email or call him to make sure that everything is on track.

I'd definitely email him back. He is probably busy and forgot to get back in touch with you. This happened to me.

This happened to me with my hair and makeup artist. I emailed I was ready to book and never got a response. I emailed again a couple weeks later and she responded quickly and the contract came together. The email probably got lost in the bustle of emails they usually get. I wouldn’t worry about it too much as they usually want your money and aren’t ghosting you on purpose.
