Hey all! Question to the parents or soon to be parents. How long after your wedding day did you start the “having children” discussion? Also, how long before you started having children with your spouse. Was it before your wedding day, on your wedding day, or after your wedding day?

I have a child from a previous relationship who is going to be 6. When hubby and I started dating I kept the two separate but as we got more serious he obviously stepped into his life. At that point we started talking about hat our future may hold for children down the road. That was before he ever proposed. After he proposed we talked more seriously about it and I have been off birth control since April and when it happens it happens. We just got married 2 weekends ago and we are ready to fully start trying.

My husband and I have talked about children but were not sure exactly when its going to happen because we want to enjoy married life. His Mother keeps pressuring us to have children asap which is pretty frustrating.

FH has a 6 y/o daughter from his first marriage, but I absolutely do not want any children. He and I have talked in depth about this and are on the same page. I am the primary earner in the relationship so there would be no way I could take time off for any maternity leave or kids.
