Hello!
I decided to plan our entire wedding without a wedding planner. My parents gave us a budget for the wedding, which originally cut out some of the nicer venues I had in mind. So, we went forward with a venue that does not have food, floral, planning, or rental services. Looking back, I now realize either I needed a planner or an all inclusive venue. At 3-4 months out, my parents felt our wedding needed entertainment which added $3k to our spending, going over budget. Because my parents are paying…. They can do whatever. However, they then revealed that the budget is max $10k over what they told us the budget originally. This means we could have chosen a little more expensive venue that was all inclusive… cutting almost nothing we wanted. The venue we could have had is a dream venue! So, I’m frustrated and now regretting everything about wedding planning… Ik it’s kind my parents are paying & the day of is only ab us getting married. But I’ve put so much chaotic work into wedding planning to find out it could have been easier & more of a dream?! I’m frustrated…
Any advice? How do I look forward to this after feeling this way?
