Tricia, on June 29, 2011 at 10:50 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 9

I registered at Bed Bath and Beyond... I have tried to link to to my weddingwire site and when i click to registry link it just takes me to the bed bath and beyond website. It should take me straight to my registry Right??? How can I make this happen?

I know you can link from the WW site to the registry...Not sure whether it's possible to link to your WW site from BB&B registry. However, I think the former is more useful to your guests than the latter. Make sense?

    This was from WW-help

    1-Log into your WW account

2-Click on 'My Wedding' and then 'Wedding Website'

    3-Click 'Add App'

4-Click the 'Add' button next to 'Registry'

    5-Click 'Back to edit site'

6-Click on your new 'Registry' page

7-Type in text to be included on the page if you wish

    8-Click the 'Choose Registries' tab

9-You will see a list of several popular registries at the top for your convenience! If you already have a registry with one or more of them, you can simply click the 'Add to My Registries' button next to the appropriate business

10-In the screen that appears, you can either choose to use the logo supplied, or upload your own by browsing your computer for another image

11-Enter your personal registry URL in the text box provided

    12-Click Submit!

13-If you do NOT see your registry in the pre-populated list, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Add your own' link

14-Choose from an image we have provided, or upload your own by browsing your computer

    cont....

15-Add your registry URL in the text box provided

    16-Click 'Submit'

    OR

    1-Log into your WW account

2-Click 'My Wedding' and then 'My Registries'

    3-Follow steps 8-16 listed above!

4-These registries will automatically be added to your 'Registry' page on your 'Wedding Website.'

hope this helps... not sure... good luck.

I was having the same problem. You have to make sure the URL you put in is the page your guests would see if they searched your registry, not your registry list while you are signed in to edit it.

I wasn't able to do this either...Even after I made sure to copy and paste MY registry URL, it didn't work. I think what happens is, BB&B automatically logs you out after a certain amount of time, so it will only take you to the main page. I just used the logo and added that they will need to type one of our names into it. There's just no way around that one. :/

I can tell you that Target will take you straight to your specific registry! Smiley smile I registered at both.

I'm having the same problem unfortunately even after following all the instructions Smiley sad Target is also working fine though. Hopefully people will just type our names in!

This appears to be a specific problem between bbb and weddingwire. my friends site on another wedding site links directly to bbb. all my other registries link directly to my specific registry on weddngwire (I'm using amazon, macy's and williams sonoma too), but bb won't work! any news from ww about this?

Nevermind, I just found this from ww:

    "Bed Bath & Beyond Registries

Bed Bath and Beyond registries that you add to your WeddingWire wedding website will no longer direct your guests to your personal registry. Guests who click on the BB&B link will be taken to the general registry page on the BB&B website with the option of searching for a specific couple.

Unfortunately, at this time there is no way to change the way this works. We suggest adding text into your website page that walks your guests through the steps of acquiring your personal registry once they land on the BB&B general registry.
