So I know I want some kind of metal floral/leafed headpiece for sure. However, When I got my dress the women put a veil on me and I liked the way that looked as well. Was wondering if it would be to much to do both? I intend to have my hair down and curled with the two front sections of my hair...

So I know I want some kind of metal floral/leafed headpiece for sure. However, When I got my dress the women put a veil on me and I liked the way that looked as well. Was wondering if it would be to much to do both?

I intend to have my hair down and curled with the two front sections of my hair braided back like a crown braid, the headpiece would rest on top of the braided edge. and I thought I could tuck the veil edge under where the braids come together

I attached an example of inspiration to kinda clarify what I am talking about. as well as the headpiece I am considering.

this is the veil that caught my interest in the store as well.

Because of how itll be put into my hair id worry about trying to swap them out.

@ohhappy thank you! I am too! Haha my hair is a mix of natural blonde and dyed blue black so i love how it looks when put up like that normally.

Almost leaning towards just the headpiece bc of how it adds a little bit of my usual boho-esque style haha

Little worried that I will feel less bridal without a veil though. Has anyone gone with out and regretted it? Or plans to not wear one?

A suggestion which might work without overburdening or mixing the colors too much would be having a gold... erm... band? Is that the word? (not a native english speaker) that is gold and has crystals on it. So the crystals (or diamonds or whatever) add the silver sparkle while the gold comes from the metal in the band. This way you'll be following the two-color of the wedding bands without it feeling mixed. And keep the veil simple? Delicate and gorgeous flowing but not decorated with beads and stuff? Maybe discreet lace?

I'm wearing a gold headpiece with a veil and braided half up hair. I did have a trial with it all together and I think it looked nice. My veil has lace embellishments on it too, so it definitely isn't a super plain veil, and it was all good. I wish I had a photo to show you! Also I'm only wearing the veil for the ceremony, I'm not sure what your plan is with that, but either way i think it will be fine. Just try it all together at your trial.
