Healthy snacks for Bachelorette party

Misha, on April 25, 2019 at 11:14 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 14

Hi everyone!

I am getting married in 8 days!! Smiley smile This weekend is my bachelorette party where we will be wine tasting. We have a party bus and one of my bridesmaids is already getting us a bunch of bottled water but I wanted to know what kind of healthy snacks would be good to eat throughout the day to soak up the alcohol. Got to have that balance ya know! haha Smiley tongue

Any suggestions?

Fruit and veggies may not soak up the alcohol but that's always a good option. Pita chips and hummus are a little more dense, but I don't know if that's a little too healthy lol

Date twins! Following for my bridal party as well! I was thinking about getting a veggie tray and bagels for brunch and then later we will be feeding them dinner!

Love it! I definitely like the idea of a veggie tray and bagels. We are leaving for the wineries at 12 on Saturday and then dinner is at 5:30. But you know how wine tasting goes...Smiley tongue I always forget to eat! Thank you for the suggestions!

GREAT idea! Pita chips and hummus would definitely soak some of that alcohol up haha I am adding that to my shopping list. Thank you! Smiley smile

Healthy carbs are a good idea - pita chips or pretzel chips, veggies, and hummus would be great, maybe some bean dip too for a little protein? And then I'd add cheese and crackers too, especially if you can bring an ice chest with you on the party bus. Bagels or even a big batch of scrambled eggs for breakfast would be great.

We've always brought different cheeses and crackers with us when we've gone wine tasting. Not the most healthy, but then again neither is wine!

I always think fruit & veggie trays are easy ones to purchase that everyone likes and they are healthy. Other snacks (I enjoy at least) include popcorn, pretzels, & power bars!

A basket with granola bars, trail mix, pretzels, popcorn, and other packaged goods is a great idea to have available on the party bus. Everyone will be grateful!

Ohh I am having a "healthy" weekend too! I would say:

    - Kind bars - Nuts - Fruit - Celery with peanut butter - Baked chips - Popcorn

Hit up Trader Joe's if you have one close by. They have amazing dips that aren't yogurt based rather than mayo. I recommend the Mediterranean hummus, artichoke and jalapeño dip, vegan kale pesto and buffalo hummus. Grab some fruit, pretzels, pita chips and call it a day Smiley smile

    This.

We live in the heart of wine country in VA. Wineries are a monthly (sometimes weekly lol) activity for myself and friends/FH. We always bring crackers, meats and cheeses to soak up the wine. Regardless of what food you eat the wine will cause bloating and the extra sugar is something to keep in mind as well. HYDRATE. Water will for sure be your best friend that day and the days after to keep away the linger affects.

    Have fun!!!
