Heel no heels?

Shan, on September 9, 2021 at 3:07 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 39
I never wear heels. I am flats all the way, but would you, if you were me, wear heels for your wedding? Want to be comfortable and able to move around

If you aren't used to them, I would suggest block heels. They are much more comfortable than regular heels and they won't hurt your feet. Otherwise, find some cute flats!

I'm either doing a low block heel or flats, my ceremony will be outdoors so a traditional heel is out of the question. If your dress is long, nobody is going to see your shoes anyways.

If you don’t wear heels, find fancy flats. Heels take a lot of practice, even the block heels. There are many gorgeous special occasion flats available in stores and online.

How tall is your fiancé? My fiancé is over half a foot taller than me so I am wearing heels for pictures and the ceremony. If there wasn't such a big height difference I would probably do some sort of sneaker the whole time.

If you're not concerned about height difference I would go no heels.

    Hi,

I never wear heels either I bought a pair for the wedding but I think I will only wear them during the garter removal, that's the only time they would be seen. Other than that I'm wearing flats I found some super pretty, and sparkly from Dillard's.

Also not a heels person, so I'm doing the keds x kate spade triple decker wedding sneakers. Way more my vibe, plus I want to be comfortable. Plus, now I have cute shoes I'll actually want to wear after my wedding and they'll be a fun reminder of our big day.

No way, comfort is key on wedding day, and shoes don’t matter much at all if your dress is long, but even if they’re seen, there’s nothing inherently not bridal about a nice pair of flats!

If you never wear heels, and your priority is to be comfortable, I would definitely not choose your wedding to start wearing heels. There are lots of cute options in flats. Plus, people rarely see your shoes anyway.

I do wear (low, block) heels but I’m wearing flats on my wedding day. Definitely want to be comfy!

The heels I do have are all comfy. I virtually only wear Clark’s or Naturalizer heels, both of which I find comfortable.

I am wearing flats for my wedding day! My fiance is plenty taller than me, but I want to keep our height difference the way it is on our big day. PLUS, flats are way comfier IMO. I will definitely be taking them off once it comes time to dance, but for the majority of the day, I will wear flats.

I love heels and plan to wear them, even though they will likely be very uncomfortable, but I still think if you never wear heels, you should definitely go for flats. Your wedding is not the time to try out something you're not really used to, and comfort is important. Add to that, most wedding dresses are long, so you won't even see your shoes.

I’m planning on doing a wedge or something with a thicker heel, I am horrible with walking in heels even before I have a cocktail or two, but with a few cocktails I am a baby deer learning to walk for the time 😂 I plan on switching to flats or flip flops, maybe even slippers (it’s a November weddding) after a while!

I'm wearing heels for mines I wear them from time to time but I work in nursing so in either sneakers or nursing slides. You can always change them during reception but you chose what you want to wear on your feet

Nope. Hubby is 6 feet, I’m 5’2 and live in sneakers for work (healthcare) and don’t want to have to break heels in for the wedding when my feet are out of practice. Also our wedding is on the beach, so it would probably be a bad idea anyway. Also, if you’re going to spend the entire night in flats and your ceremony and heels, your hem will be awkward, so consider that.
