Hello Ismatu Congratulations on your up and coming wedding do you both have much to do. These the months flying by your big day will be here before you know it. And by saying this I don't want to add any pressure or anxiety. Just happiness and excitement on what is about to happen I found myself when our day was getting closer i repeating myself on things that I had to do. That I had 2 bridal books that I had notes in that I was checking them off again lol lol. Because I had another book so I just stayed in 1 book lol. So here's a tip don't overthink things it's good to have a plan and to check things off once. Go over any big things that you haven't went through like a timeline for photographing yourself, the groom and groomsmens wedding party, parents, firstlooks if are planning in doing that. This is so the photographer knows when you want to begin. A timeline for the wedding party to walk down the aisle talk about with your partner are they begin pair up together or walking single go over your music selection as well. Lol I changed the walking music selections about 3 times. But then after the 4 time that's it and finally mines paired up to walk out. And last and finally DON'T OVER STRESS! We want everything to go perfect with no slips up but we are only human things may not always go as planned so if something happens breathe before reacting so you don't breakdown. YOU GOT THIS!! happy planning and thank you for sharing with us and I hope that you continue to come back for anything that you think that you may need help even if ita to vent we all who are married now been in your same shoes. And now begin married i still come here for advice to vent and to give advice to you new planners

Thank you Mrs Evans! I just booked a bridal shop to try on wedding dresses in a couple of weeks. Is 14 months out too soon to try on dresses?? I'm just so eager to narrow down the styles and dress shape that I want.

No it's not because sometimes the style of dress you want may take a while to come in. Or that you have to make alterations to your dress and times that you may see another that you may want. This is a nail bitter but is very important to have that dream dress or close enough to the dream dress that you wanted. And the dress that will knock your FH socks lol lol. I had my dress a whole year half and I still loved it from the first time that I tried it on. And that my supporters and family and him all cried when they all saw me. And I didn't have it all jeweled up although that would have been choice 2 but my accessories and crown made it. That WOW factor He said too me WOW BABY YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL ❤❤❤happy dress shopping and don't let too many ppl come or get in you head ok. Visualize yourself and him

It's 23 days until our wedding day! Although is is a small "convalidation" ceremony (we're married 38 years come June 1 but we couldn't have a Catholic wedding then and now we can. It'll be a short ceremony, including exchange of our original wedding rings, during a regular Sunday Mass at our church), there are still a few details to be attended to yet, the most important of which is for my "bridegroom" to take his suit down to the tailor to have a few minor alterations - he's lost nearly 20 lbs since he bought the suit a year ago. And he needs new dress shoes. He's been very busy at work but next week, hopefully Monday, he can take his suit in, and Friday, we'll go out to get his shoes. We both have to make haircut appointments and I'll need a mani-pedi appointment which I'll make next week. The only thing I must do is contact the florist for the actual cost of the flowers, and present my MOH with her gifts, which I will do when we go out for a pre-wedding luncheon on May 24. I'll also touch base with the friend who is making our cake. Today, I spent nearly 2 hours shopping online for favor gift bags. There are only 8 of us at the wedding dinner, the priest, our MOH and hubby, our son and his 2 young children. I needed to find the right size, color & theme, and cost, and I finally found them on amazon. All that's left is to make sure our son & his kids get here in time - they live 800 miles away and he has to wait til they're out of school which is 2 days before the wedding. Meanwhile, we've been cleaning out and setting up the guest bedroom. Meanwhile, my MOH who is my closest and dearest friend, and I have been so excited about the wedding, and have been giggling like 2 -20 year olds - we are in our (very young) 70's!! And I'm looking forward to having the honeymoon we never had 38 years ago! (We had a house and a baby instead.)

Thank you for your good wish! Our very special day, June 4, went perfectly - even the weather was lovely! It was just as beautiful as we'd planned! Here are some photos I hope you enjoy. The "wedding party" - our son was Best Man; my dearest friend, who is also the church music director/organist and also sang a solo I requested, was Matron of Honor. Her husband took the photos. Our grandchildren also participated. The dinner, the flowers, and the cake were fabulous and all were gifts from the MOH and hubby, the baker (a longtime friend) and the florist who's also a friend and member of the parish. Everyone looked wonderful! Afterwards, we actually had a honeymoon (we didn't have one 38 years ago, we bought our house and our son was born a year later) - 3 days in PA Dutch country.
