Help ? Flowers Foam? Silk? Latex? Real touch?

MommaKeysMOG, on January 14, 2018 at 12:30 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11

Help I'm the MOG helping with the whole wedding and been doing research for good fake artificial flowers. Anyone know what is the difference between all of these different type and which once seem to look more real. Most of what I am doing is online order as I have really bad knees so hard to get out and go store to store any help and opinions would be appreciated thanks

I bought foam for all my flowers. They look better and are sturdier.

I'm not one to know about that.. But also considered dried flowers.. (Real flowers that have been dried.) I got my bouquet, toss bouquet, flowers for 8 BM and GM, groom's boutonniere, FOB GFOB and FOG boutonnieres, and smaller bouquets for MOB, MOG, GMOB (3) and GMOG (1) for $475 with shipping. If it doesn't cost that much to ship, she'll refund me. On Etsy, her name is SeasonalBounty, but there are a good bit of people on Etsy that can make them. Also, dried flowers can be good for up to 6 months if stored in a dark place. Best of luck!

FutureMrsGSon thanks the total budget is less then $3000 for the wedding we got the venue and ceremony site for $375 which includes tables and chairs for the reception state parks can be a great thing . So $475 sound great just not with what we have to spend thanks so much for your input as I have 5 children 4 boys 1 girl this is my middle son so this won't be my last rodeo for sure.

I used eco flowers. They are wood flowers but I also have some that are foam mixed it. I really like it and was able to pick the exact colors I wanted.

On Amazon I looked up foam roses. EBay also has a lot of options. When you order, make sure you look at diameter and also if they come with stems. The ones above did not have stems so i had to make my own out of floral wire.

I have also considered real-touch artificial flowers vs. real. In my research, I've found that pricing is very similar and in some cases, artificial is more expensive. I've opted to go with real because of this. The real touch flowers are amazingly realistic and beautiful though, so a bride that wants to frame or use her bouquet in her home decor may love that idea. And, weather is never an issue with artificial flowers (i.e. wilting, turning brown).

I used budget-bride.com and am extremely happy with the bouquets. They're real touch and are so realistic looking. I spent $200 and got my bouquet, 2 maid of honor bouquets, 1 groom bout, and 2 groomsmen bouts. Seriously the best purchase I've made!
