Help! i fell in love with an unattainable shoe

Help! i fell in love with an unattainable shoe 1
I fell in love with these (rare nowhere to be found and extremely expensive) heels and now I can't find anything even remotely like them. I need a chunky heel because of grass and clumsiness, but the flower detailing would have gone perfect with my dress. Has anyone else experienced this? How did you forget about the dream shoes? Is there a way to DIY shoes like this? I know this is so silly of a thing to get hung up on, but I have never felt this way about a shoe before in my life. I got the same feeling about this picture that I did when I first saw my wedding dress (that I tried on and fell in love with all over again) like when I first started window shopping for my dress, I knew that was my dress. I tried a couple others on first to confirm my feelings, but as soon as it was on my heart dropped and I didn't want to take it off. I usually am a "I'll throw some Tom's/Bobs on" kind of girl so this is EXTREMELY unusual for me. Or am I being silly and those really wouldn't go well with my dress at all? Please help lolHelp! i fell in love with an unattainable shoe 2

After some searching, it looks like this shoe is Bijoux by Paul Andrew: https://paulandrew.com/collections/bridal/products/bijoux-130-fa113

Also found here for almost $2,000: https://www.lyst.com/shoes/paul-andrew-bijoux-boots-white/

Is there a way you can order extra lace fabric from your dress, and use that to glue the flower detailing onto a similar style shoe that is way cheaper? Such as this one? https://www.fsjshoes.com/women-s-bridal-shoes-white-lace-floral-peep-toe-chunky-heels.html

Use Mod Podge to glue on 3d fabric flowers. Both should be available at a craft store such as Michael's or online

That is precisely why I said very unattainable shoe haha. Who has money for $2000 shoes? I've seen those on Google images but I couldn't find the actual listing for the life of me! Has anyone else bought shoes from fsjshoes?

I like those a lot too, but realistically I need the chunky/block heel. I know their website says those shoes are made for walking but I will seriously break my ankle haha. Also $400 for shoes is a little out of budget. Realistically I probably won't pay more than $150 for shoes I'll probably only wear one day. For example, my whole wedding budget is about $8,000. And a vast majority of that is already in my venue, catering, and photography. My mom paid for my dress and I didn't really even put that in my budget.

So I think your best bet is to get something like this:

and then add some lace appliques that go between the straps with E6000 glue.

    Total cost probably around $70-80

Lol, totally agree that those aren't really attainable! I'm certainly never going to spend that much on shoes ever. I had just wanted to provide a link to where they were available, just in case. I have not purchased from FSJ Shoes before, and found mixed reviews online. It seems legit, but from what I've read, quality isn't always great, so if you choose to buy from them, read reviews first. I'll look to see if I can find a similar pair from a more reputable site as well.

Yes. I just didn't know if it was possible to do such a DIY? I was thinking about getting something like these shoes and kind of using E6000 to make them more of an ankle boot? I just didn't know if it would work or not?Help! i fell in love with an unattainable shoe 4

I think that adding an applique will get you that illusion on a budget, won't look exactly the same, but obviously that comes with DIY.

If you go that route I'd love to see the final product

Just remember, you have to be in these shoes for up to 12 hours. DIY may make them uncomfortable, itchy, scratchy etc..... I would hate to spend $80 for shoes and another at least $20 for craft items and wind up with unwearable shoes.

what about wearing lace wedding socks underneath a plain white block shoe?

Or a pair of those barefoot wedding sandals worn under the shoe?

I have heard that on Etsy you can have custom shoes made. Not sure of the cost but maybe that would work better then trying to do it yourself.

I've thought about doing that but I'm not sure as I'm really really comfortable walking in block heeled booties. I have a pair of black ankle straps block heels that I'm not very comfortable in and I feel like doing a decorative sock wouldn't help that much. The extra support from having the fabric, even a mesh, is just easier to walk in. I've seen some on etsy, but again a lot of those are in the 200-400 range as well. I'm not too worried about scratchy or itchiness if I use good quality fabric...but you do have a point!
