Hi! I'm new here and recently got engaged to a great man, we will be married in two years. I'm really happy, the proposal was really sweet and a surprise. Hi! I'm new here and recently got engaged to a great man, we will be married in two years. I'm really happy, the proposal was really sweet and a surprise. I like my ring, it is not the first one that I would have picked out (I rarely use jewellery and didn't have anything very specific in mind) but the style is very pretty and simple (which is what I wanted). The thing is, I have only worn it for a week and I'm already starting to see scratches and damage Smiley sad I don't do many rough things with my hands either. I just think the metal and the stones are not meant to last a long time. What should I do? My fiancée doesn't really know a lot about rings and I don't think he bought something that was poor quality on purpose. I really appreciate the effort but I would like to have something a bit more durable. I was thinking the best idea would be to wait and see if the ring keeps getting damaged and then talk to him? I know he would like me to be honest anyways, but I don't want him to feel bad

If your ring is sterling w/CZ, it will be stamped ".925 CZ". If the CZ portion isn't there, it's likely a glass or lead crystal stone. CZ would not chip: it's actually harder than diamond.

I would look for gold/white gold with either a diamond, lab created diamond (if you want to cut cost), or white sapphire. They are all very hard, daily wear stones, and gold is a good heirloom quality metal.

Moissanite is not just lab created, it is naturally occurring. It also is not a diamond, diamonds are pure carbon, moissanite is silicon carbide

@Hickchick: Moissanite is not diamond. Lab created diamonds are still diamonds. Moissanites are totally different stones. There's a huge difference.

Just because a stone is lab created doesn't mean it becomes a different stone...

Please change your avatar. You can do this on the computer or by going to the WW website through the browser on your phone instead of your app.

If you think you have already updated your avatar to a picture through the app, you haven't because it's not an option to update it on the app! Smiley smile

What ended up happening? I hope you were able to get a nice replacement ring.
