Help! Long Wedding Day Timeline

Giselle, on August 12, 2021 at 11:03 AM Posted in Planning 0 4
Hi everyone!

I can really use your help.
My wedding will be in Tulum in the beach in a beautiful space by the water.
I have the venue from 4:00pm to 1:00am. Most itineraries online don’t take into consideration long weddings like mine.
Here are the things we are planning to have. Can you help me create a sequence?
Getting Ready
Bride, Bridal, Family Pictures (no first look)
Champagne WelcomeCeremony - SoloistCocktail Hour - Saxophonist Photo Session Bride & Groom #1Grand Entrance First Dance - waltz Jewish Dance - Accordion Chair danceToasts Sunset Photos?3 course Dinner somewhere in between thisChange of Outfit & Hair - BrideTropical Band2nd Dance - Salsa/bachata/cha-cha/regueaton Dance routine (I’m latina and we met dancing salsa)Cake CuttingBrazilian Batucada and Samba dancerDJ - 2nd set of Saxophone?
I’m probably missing things. My biggest problem is that I don’t know how much time to allocate to each thing and what order to keep momentum.

Your vendors are a great resource for building your timeline! They would definitely know from experience. So ask you hair/makeup artist how long it will take for you and your girls to get read, ask your officiant how long the ceremony will take (most are 20 minutes but it depends on the culture and religion), ask your photographer about sunset photos because they will know what time is best and how long that will take, and ask caterer how long dinner should take. These will all be approximate, but they would definitely know best. From there you'll build around that. So if your ceremony starts at 4 but sunset is at like 8 then you can probably fit in a few dances and maybe start dinner.

I reached out to my photographer and he gave me a time line for the day of. I also spoke with my makeup artist & hair stylist to see how long they need to get us ready.
