Help me decide on what to do for my bachelorette!

mrswinteriscoming, on March 14, 2021 at 9:49 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 12

I will be planning my bachelorette alongside my BMs (family members) since I know my crowd more than them. There are 2 ideas we are currently tossing up doing and I would love some input on which to choose. Option B is more value for money (although technically more expensive) but is a bigger ask of my girls. I have asked briefly who would prefer what and everyone is ok with either option. SO! Help me decide - if you were invited and had a choice of the following, which would your pick be?

Option A – Local + Crafty

Festivities will begin at BM’s house with drinks and games. We will then be driven to a craft studio to paint canvasses OR sculpt clay models based on a topless male model. Afterward, we will head out for a seated dinner with drinks. This will run from approximately 4pm to 10pm at a cost of $160-180pp.

Option B – Wines on the Weekend

On Friday afternoon, the girls will travel to our local wine region (2 hour drive) and meet us at our group accommodation to settle in and enjoy some nibbles. We will then head out for dinner (and possibly dancing) at the Irish Pub. The following day we will attend a full day wine tour and in the evening we will play some games and have a BBQ/Pizza night. All to return home on Sunday. This will be a 2 night trip at a cost of about $275-300pp.

If I had the choice, I would pick option B! I may be a bit bias because that's exactly what I'm doing for my bachelorette 🙂
When they all said either option, were they aware of the cost? I think budget would be the only factor as far as the bridesmaids are concerned, otherwise pick whichever activity you think you'll enjoy more!

I'd prefer B because I would want to spend more time with people.

I’ve told them all it will be around $250pp (now I’ve realised we are closer to $275-300pp) BUT I have given everyone lots of notice as this won’t take place for at least about 6-8 months.

About 50% of the group are still in university or work part time so I gave them the options well in advance so that they can save up if needed. We are planning it this early out because group accommodation in the winery area varies significantly in price so we would need to confirm numbers probably within a month so as to allow us to book accommodation that is reasonably priced.

Maybe it's because I'm going stir crazy during covid and need some time away from my tiny apartment, but I would choose wine country. So fun

I would choose option B! Wines on the weekend Smiley smile Also, a 2 night stay + a full day wine tour for that amount is an amazing value

I would go with B for sure! If I'm paying the first price, I may as well pay the second for a more fun weekend outing!

I'd choose B, but I'm biased because I am doing a similar thing for mine! My girls are renting me a limo and we are touring a part of our local wine trail, then having dinner. So I'd probably choose option B because that sounds like tons of fun!
