I received 4 calls over 2 days from them. From a restricted number ( my aunt mom and cousin apparently filled out a card for me) The second and third were a minute apart from the same person. I told the person calling the 4th time and she was no help. I asked "how could i be a winner if you are calling everyone that filled out a card?" "You are starting to make me think that I'm not a real winner" I asked what the name of the company was she sated National Registry (which on line doesn't exist) so i asked what the full name was, the national registry of what? She had no answer she was clearly reading from a script and I confused her with having to think. I was offered a ring set or a vacation. That would also include champagne flutes that were engraved and a voucher coupon book. I had to go with my fiance to a presentation where I would eat food and take a survey and didn't need to buy anything. My fiance thinks that it is a time share or like what most comments are not really free. There is some one supposed to call me to confirm tomorrow "my representative" how fancy. So I will grill him for details and update everyone.''

P.S. I also don't remember them being there, when she said to me "we had china and dishes set up" i asked her if she was with Bed Bath and Beyond. She didn't like that response. I did however contact LaDonna they were in charge of the show. I told them about having to meet for the prize and asked if they were a scam. She told them they were a real company and gave me their website which surprise isn't called National Registry. They have the "prize" we won under their promotional tab. http://www.bridalregistryinc.com/

Also there is a link to their facebook on the website but here it is again. Maybe with spreading the word enough we can help new couples such as ourselves avoid being taken advantage of. https://www.facebook.com/Bridal-Registry-Inc-547266031966265/timeline/

I got a call and email. It's with the National Gift Registry. My fiancé and I went to the showroom. It was in Buckhead GA. It was at a Springhill Suites I believe. We just went in November 2015. We were there with one other couple and they have China and pots and pans this guy cooked for us to bribe us to make our guests at our wedding sorta pay off for us. He was blunt and was like since only two of you are here I'll give you what you actually came for. He didn't do the show and we sat at a table. It was pretty quick. Out of there in like 30-45 minutes max. We got this card for the champagne flutes to be engraved. You have to pay shipping and handling. That's it. They turned out BEAUTIFUL. We used them on our wedding day actually. The free hotel stay is legit. We didn't do the international one but just the USA. You have to pay $100 like a down payment for a room but after the stay you get it refunded. So it's actually free. We had no problems whatsoever. I thought it was kinda sketchy at first but it's legit I promise! They are teamed with David's Bridal and the pageant thing. We enjoy our gifts.

I signed up for wedding wire just so I could comment here. UGH! I just got a call from Ashley with the "National Registry" stating that she got my information from the Bridal show at (country club) in (city). She said she held their registration drawing from the show and I won my choice of wedding bands or several vacation packages. I find it incredibly dishonest for this to occur after I provided my phone number to vendors at their show (and I think only twice!), with the hope of winning a prize. Just another lesson learned to never provide phone numbers unless you want to be harrassed....

I received a call from Ashley from "National Registry" as well! It was a No Caller ID number so I didn't answer. In the voicemail (which she spoke so fast in that I could barely catch the name of the company) she mentioned the Elegant Bridal show I attended the evening before and that she could only hold my prize for a limited time, so to call her back. She didn't mention what the prize was, but i'm sure it's the same thing. Glad I found this thread so I didn't waste my time calling back!!

.yes you have to sit through the a presentation (about an hour and 30 mins) of their products but you are not obligated to buy anything. You can walk away without spending a dime and still get all your gifts. my fiance and I attended last night.

I did it. They're not a scam. Yes, they are hoping to sell you something. Every company that does a raffle is. But we got 2 3day/2 night trips, one is all inclusive. We also got the free wedding bands, a pair of personalized champagne flutes, and a membership to a discount site. Ando since we did choose to buy the cookware, we loved it. So, we also got a bonus 8 day honeymoon. So yes, it's sales, but no it's not a scam.

I just received the same call. I was interested at first until I found out both my fiance and I would have to attend their seminar to receive these "gifts," which is nearly impossible as we have small children at home.

I felt they were very misleading as I was under the impression that I had given them my personal information to enter a sweepstakes, not to be solicited for a sales pitch. When I asked if there had been fine print on the ballot indicating the terms and conditions of this so called sweepstakes she said there wasn't.

When I asked to speak to the supervisor I was told she was busy and after explaining that I was also "busy," as she called on my personal phone while I was at work, I was told they'd be passing the "gift" on to another couple and hung up on.

I will be reporting Direct Registries to the BBB for misrepresentation as well as rudeness.

My fiance and I attended a presentation last night. The presenter was awesome and funny. Of course by the end of the 90 minutes, he had us ready to buy the awesome cookware. We stood firm on our decision not to purchase anything and walked out with our gifts in hand (3 day/2 night Viva Resort vacation, champagne flutes [$19.95 S&H] and coupon book [$4.95 S&H]). It sucked to later read the fine print about resort check-in days being limited to Mon/Tues, but we figured we will stay at another hotel first and then go to the resort for the final 2 days :-) Was it worth the 90 minutes? It was a Wednesday night and we had nothing better to do. We probably would have been home just watching television anyways. The good news is I researched the waterless cookware they were selling for nearly $3,000 and found a very similar set on Amazon for a little over $200.

It is not worth it! Don't do it. Yes you will receive all the "prizes" but trust me they are not worth it. There are so many hopes and down payment that you can find better offers elsewhere. All there reviews are fake too.

I received this same offer and saw this comment. I was wondering if you were actually able to go on the vacation and how it went? We are considering the DR trip as well.

Wow this was so long ago now lol

Going to try my best to remember the details but here is an update.

We received the voucher and had to submit an application via snail mail, then wait for confirmation (again via mail). The application at the time was a bit confusing but you had to put in certain dates and everything had to be spelled and listed CORRECTLY or else they would reject your application. Unfortunately they rejected ours and said that it was due to a date being listed in the wrong place or a misspelling or something. It was really ridiculous and one of those errors where it really should not make a difference, but in this case, they used it as a reason to not confirm our trip (they only allow you to submit the paperwork once and it has to be 100% percent and the dates have to be dates that they have available or else you're rejected). Because they do not allow you to make changes to your paperwork after you're rejected, you essentially lose out on the free trip.

Clearly this is what they want. Thankfully I booked our honeymoon separately just in case something like this happened, so we were able to go enjoy ourselves in DR - just not for free.

Thank you to everyone in the chat! I just received a text message from this number (actually it was a Long Island, NY number 516-531-3243) and was very skeptical. So glad I searched the number before responding to the text or calling back. Will not be contacting.

So how did this work? I got this call last night. I have tried calling back 3 times. I was busy when they originally called. They said my fiancé and I won a bridal package. I am unsure what that means as I haven't had a chance to talk to the woman again. You said you got an 8 day honeymoon but then you had to listen to a presentation? That seems easy. Were there hidden fees? Can you give me more info about your experience if possible?

    thank you!

Hi! So we’re there hidden fees? They just contacted me again and they give me a legit location as to where it would be and the woman was very kind she said multiple times I don’t need to give out any information or anything. I plan to go and not bring any payment just my ID and my phone. I’m interested to see what happens. There’s so many different posts on here that say it’s a scam and then a few that say this is legitimate
