Help me pick a dress 🙈

I am not kidding you, I absolutely cannot decide on which style to go with. I am stuck between a ball gown style and a fit-n-flare. I have tried on 35+ dresses and cannot decide between the two. A ball gown is something I always pictured myself wearing since I was little - it’s the only time in your life where you get to look like Cinderella and when I think of weddings I think of a ball gown dress. On the other hand, I’m very petite and ball gowns seem to swallow me a little bit and are very heavy. A fit-n-flare would hug me perfectly and I would look somewhat sexy while still being covered up. These are two that I am in love with... which one do you guys like?? Help me pick a dress 🙈 1

I think you should try both on. Have you considered an A line? Still gives you the look of a ballgown but not as consuming if that makes sense. I personally like the first dress better.

Awesome!! You'll likely have a better idea of which one you like better on you after you try them on. I also agree with Kristen, an A-line gown is a good alternative to a ball gown!

I have tried them on and I still lIke The ball gown look better on me.. I know it’s a personal choice but I am being so indecisive about this, hopefully when I put them on I’ll know

If you like the ball gown look better, I say go for it! If you feel that it is too overwhelming on you, alterations may be able to help take some of the volume away while still keeping the ball gown shape. Once you try them both on, I'm sure you'll get a much better idea of what you feel most comfortable wearing. Happy dress shopping, let us know what you find out after you try them on!

I love the ballgown! I'm very petite too but am also getting a dress with a similar shape. Once it's tailored for you it won't be overwhelming at all

I know that’s what I’m thinking... I’m having trouble picturing what I’ll look like it in because they obviously don’t fit you when you try dresses on... do you have a picture of you in yours??

Yes I have these! They even added a petticoat to give it more poof. Some tricks they used were having me stand at the edge of the little stand and wearing the same heel height I will have on the big day. I tried on a dress with lace that was a close contender, so also adding that for more reference

So my advice would be to go with the one you've pictured youself in. I always thought bigger like ball gown or a line for weddings. I ended up buying something very form fitting that made me feel amazing when I tried it on. Fast forward a few months, I won't physically get my dress until January however, the excitement of finding my dress is over and I now regret my purchase. While I do think my dress is beautiful it is not the dress I had always pictured in my head so I'm not as happy with it as I would like to be.
