Help-need advice for submersible tealights for centerpieces

Ann, on August 6, 2012 at 10:08 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

I'm planning on using white submersible tealights in my centerpieces. I've seen some at Michaels and Hobby Lobby but they seem pretty pricey and small. I've heard that some don't give off much light and some that require you to put the batteries in yourself so I'm trying to be careful ordering them online. Has anyone used them and if so where did you get them and whats your opinion on them. I need approximately 12 for my centerpieces. One for each 12 inch cylinder vase that I will put in with clear pebbles and then add red roses. Here's a pic of my idea of centerpiece (without the clear pebbles as the reception venue provides them.) Thanks.

I'm using these but in clear from michaels for our centerpieces. they are $20 for a pack of 10 or I believe $6 for a pack of 4. They do give off a pretty decent amount of light. They were the cheapest I found and I used a 40% off coupon.

Oh and we tested one and left it running underwater for about 4 hours and it was still on.

Here is my mock up center piece. I bought mine off amazon.com. It was like 10 lights for 10 bucks...

Amazon.com has the best prices for these from what I've seen online (and I did my homework lol)
