Help! Need Bunion Friendly Wedding Shoes

Emily, on October 14, 2018 at 10:28 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7
I’ve got bunions on both feet with second toes that are longer so I struggle to find closed toe heels that aren’t incredibly painful. I’ve got an old pair of Stuart Weitzman espadrille wedges with black elastic straps & some Charleston Shoe Co. Espadrille Wedges that are super comfortable but nothing is really Wedding appropriate. I don’t want to wear Toms flats and have my dress drag on the floor but need something that won’t kill my feet. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I found some lace flats from torrid in an ivory color that I’ll wear. I wore heels as a guest to a wedding recently and they killed my feet so bad, so I’d go the flats route. You can wear those shoes for when you go get alterations and they can hem your dress so it won’t drag too much.

Thanks! I’d never heard of that brand but just peeked & they are super cute. Unfortunately we just got our date from the priest last night & it’s in a month so I don’t really think I’ll have time to alter my dress so it works with flats. We are planning on having a super intimate ceremony (just immediate family & maybe best friends) & going to a nice dinner so I don’t need to worry about a formal reception but do have to figure out hair, makeup (if any), Shoes, photography & more in a month 😳 haha.

Look up crocs wedges. I left mine plain but they could easily be jazzed up to! I have mild bunions, but I have major traumatic arthritis in one foot and I’m missing most of a joint in that foot and these shoes feel like pillows.

Hi Emily! The others give some great feedback here. Smiley heart I have also heard great things about TOMs wedges and White Mountain softer, wedge options that might work with your dress length. I personally have a pair of White Mountain wedge sandals and I love them.

I'm planning to wear Danskos. They're perfect for my heel spurs. They have a good variety, but are on the pricier side.

Thanks, Samantha. I haven’t heard that name in decades but used to dance in them. Great idea. Thank you
