Help! Need ideas for anniversary dance gifts

Melissa, on April 19, 2023 at 12:37 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

Instead of the whole bouquet/garter toss thing, we're doing a married couples dance. For those who don't know what that is, basically we have all married couples on the floor and the DJ will have couples leave the floor from married the least time to most. The last couple...or two...remaining that have been married the longest will receive a gift from us. Originally I thought of having a plant, but with the dirt and having something live, I'm not sure if that would be a lot of hassle or not with how pressed for time everything will be. Another idea I had was to give them one of the centerpieces. We have light up willow trees (which is our theme) and I think we will have a couple more than there will be tables. Not sure if that's an ok idea. I think that the last couple is either going to wind up being my parents or the pastor and his wife. I was just wondering if anyone had any other ideas?

You could get them a gift card for a restaurant. That way they can celebrate their relationship with a romantic dinner out.

That might be a great idea! We have people coming from a lot of different states and areas, but I could look on the maps and find some restaurant chains that are near where everyone comes from. They're all coming from like a cluster of only 6-7 areas so it wouldn't be to bad.

I think I found a possibility that I like. It's a nice 3 wick in a scent that's kind of a neutral pleasing to most people scent. Plus it will be something the folks who are likely to get it will really like. Maybe a gift card or the tree too.

I love the centrepiece and the gift card ideas! As long as the people don't have to travel, of course.

I love this, the times I have seen it done the winner is given the bridal bouquet or a small replica of it and a gc to restaurant (American Express/Visa gift card also works)or a bottle of wine or liquor. On a smaller scale you could have a boxed bakery treat for the winner. Best of luck to you!

There will be people traveling, but the centerpieces are not glass or anything and they break down into a flat small box. It can easily fit in a suitcase. But that brings up another good point why I probably wouldn't want to do a bouquet or plant. I think these suggestions are better.
