How long has it been since you last heard from her? If it's been less than a week, give her another day or two to reply, and then reach out again. Do you have a phone number for her listed in your contract? If so, try calling. Otherwise, can anyone else see her page on social media? If so, ask them to reach out using their account. If not, I would start looking for another photographer as a backup. Since so many people postponed from 2020, you may have an easier time finding someone else last minute. If the original photographer doesn't end up getting back to you or even doesn't end up showing up on your wedding day, I would leave negative reviews on every site (The Knot, Wedding Wire, Google, etc), as well as possibly seek legal action to get the deposit back.

Its been about 2 weeks since her last reply i tried searching her page but its like its been deactivated. i feel as though if she doesn't reply by tomorrow morning ill have to eat the 250 because he contract states that if an emergency happens and she cant make it she will not be held accountable

Wow that’s crazy. I would trying emailing again and calling if you have a phone number. If you don’t hear from her by tmw I would look for a backup plan. I’m sorry that you have to deal with this so close to your big day! Try to stay positive.

Does she normally take a while to reply? If so, give her until tomorrow, or try calling her today. Otherwise, I would spend today researching other photographers and start contacting them to find out availability for this weekend. Losing $250 certainly isn't ideal, but at least it isn't thousands.

Yikes. If it were me, I would be reaching out to other photographers ASAP! It would be good to know if anyone is available for your wedding, and if so what their packages/prices are. It doesn’t mean you have to sign a contract with them, but it would be good to have the information ready in case you do need to replace your current photographer. I would reach out to other photographers today – it will usually take them at least 24 hours to get back to you with prices anyway.

I agree with this. I would be looking for others. If her social media is bo longer available that makes me suspect she is no longer in business.

Based on everything you have said it doesn't sound like she is in business anymore. Our photographer has her own website. Does your photographer have a website? If so, is that still active or have any information?

Yea it doesn't sound like she is in business anymore. It sounds to me like she took your money and ran. I would try to get your deposit back. I know In your contract it says if there is an emergency and she can't make it that she will not be held accountable, however her just taking your deposit and then close to the wedding not answer you back in 2 weeks and deactivating her account that's not an emergency, that's a business owner sc🔩ing over her client. I'd definitely see what you could do about getting your deposit.

Seek out another photographer on Thumbtack.com and explain your situation. A vendor taking down social media means they quit.
