You can do a small pedestal for the officiant and be fine.

I would do something like this. It gives you a focal point without obstructing the view.

We were in front of windows. For the ceremony we had two pedestals on the outside with flowers on top (our centerpieces) and a small table for the officiant (which had our rings and vow books). During the reception our sweetheart table was in the same spot with the windows behind us.

For me, I would. Esp if it will be bright like the photo. I would want something to block that so I could get better pictures.
