Tara, on February 20, 2020 at 6:31 PM Posted in Florida Planning 0 42
Is anyone finding it hard to find a venue including everything besides food and photos for 2,000-$4,000? Found a few but they want you to pay like $9,000 for catering, please help.

Try community centers/halls! Those are typically cheap

I’m in Jersey and have a venue booked that includes the space, decorations, catering, centerpieces, the cake, cocktail hour, etc for a reasonable price. Price of food is $58/person (there are different options of varying prices) and space is only $600 for the entire reception. It’s a fire hall that was converted to an event catering hall. It’s not as upscale but it fits my style and budget and they have great reviews from many other receptions and events they’re done. Other banquet halls were way out of my budget. Maybe there are other renovated halls in your area you could try. Good luck!

Good to know but I need a place to do both ceremony and reception. With all included but photo and catering.

Try having it at a restaurant large enough to hold your amount of guests. Restaurants would already have all the things you need and don’t usually have a fee charged for using the venue

I'm not sure where you located, but we live in Central Illinois and we have a beautiful barn venue that we rented fo $3000. They include a ton of decorations, all tables and chairs, all the dishes (except silverware), non alcoholic drinks, and even clean up afterwards. If you're close, I can send you their information.

That is very true but we want to dance, drink and carry on. We can’t do that at a restaurant. Lol. But that’s an idea I may have to consider for sure.

Maybe try an aquarium/zoo/butterfly pavilion. Learning places are sometimes cheaper

You might be able to have a dance floor and drink too! I did mine in a restaurant and they allowed a dance floor and alcohol

That might be tough but have you asked about a non-Saturday??? And brunch will cost less than dinner.

Another suggestion: colleges & universities. I work for a college, and we rent our rooms for CHEAP (they're also historic and really pretty) and our catering is very inexpensive for the quality. Do your research, though, see that they have experienced catering teams/chefs (some are better than others). They should do a tasting with you, and give you a few package options.

Hi Tara. I’m an hour or so from Orlando and my venue has everything including catering except photographer and personal flowers so it’s above $4000. It’s amazing. It was a tad bit above my own budget but the Venue Owner makes it’s so easy it’s worth it. However, there’s different packages and the Venue Owner works with you so if you wanted to do catering elsewhere you totally can and the price may ultimately end up in your budget.
