HELP! plus size mother of the bride in need of good website to find an outfit

David's Bridal has plus-sized. Also, she can check out Avenue, Lane Bryant, and Dress Barn (I'm a 22/24 and I've seen some lovely formal dresses there).

My mom got hers at Dillards online (we don't have them close to where I live). She had shown me a number of dresses and I liked most of them. She ended up purchasing 2 and gave one to my grandma and she kept the other one!

I got my dress for my son's wedding at Igigi.com. Mine was relatively short, but they have longer dresses and pants as well. One of the things I love about them is that they are very figure-flattering. So many plus-sized dresses look like they were made by Omar the Tent Maker, but theirs don't.

My mom is excellent at online shopping! She bought a bunch of dresses from different websites, tried them on and then returned the ones she didn't like. Then she had me and my sister over for a little fashion show, and then returned everything except her MOB dress.

It's an excellent system, if you are responsible about returning the items!

I can't remember where my mom picked her dress, but I've attached a picture. She didn't really want a black dress, but ultimately liked the fit of this dress better than the others. If necessary, I'd suggest letting go of your color desires, if it comes down to that and her being happy in a dress.

Both my mom and MIL got theirs from David's and they looked lovely. My mom sounds like yours--she wanted something that would cover her legs (varicose veins) and something that she was comfortable in. She ended up buying the first dress she tried on. It's style number **** at David's and she loved it.

My mom also recently got her plus size mother dress from davids bridal.....she loved the variety and the fact that she was able to try on so many options as alot of other stores dont have that much plus size in stock

DB just started carrying Zac Posen wedding and occasion dresses in sizes 0-26. Some of them look really, really pretty.

My FMIL bought a few dresses off of Nordstrom's and returned the ones she didn't choose.

I'd recommend Dress Barn as well. The name makes you not want to go, but they have some surprisingly nice dresses.
