HELP!!!!! Regular Folding Chairs

Christine, on June 5, 2013 at 4:28 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

So my venue is lovely, but they use regular white folding chairs, the ones with the rounded tops. The seating area is on concrete, so shepherd's hooks are not an option. Any ideas on how to decorate a folding chair without completely covering it?

If the chairs you are talking about are indeed the ones Paris posted examples of, I don't really see a need to decorate them. I'm not, and I have those chairs. If I decide to change my mind, I will be decorating ONLY the back row, as that's the only row people will see anyway, especially in photos.

@Paris's last photo, I would be swatting at that darn flower arrangement the entire ceremony as it brushes my arm. Pretty, but annoying. lol

Unfortunately, those are not my chairs. My chairs look like this:

I'd probably just leave them plain. Sometimes less is more. At least they're white.

I agree with Paris Smiley smile That picture looks totally fine. If you start adding stuff to it, then your eye is drawn to the chairs, instead of them fading into the background.

If you totally hate them, you could do covers, but I'm not a fan of chair covers at all. They always look sloppy to me.

You can still do some of the ideas that Paris posted, and you don't need to do them on all of the chairs-- maybe the ones on the aisle and those for honored guests?

You mentioned shepherd hooks. You can still use those with concrete floors. Put sand or dirt in a flower pot and stick the shepherd's hook in there.

I'm not a fan of chair covers either, but I'd like to have something....I like the idea of shepherd's hooks in flower pots, maybe that could work. Thanks ladies!
