Help!!!! Timeline for brunch wedding

JJ Thomas, on May 5, 2021 at 8:34 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

Pretty sure there are plenty of forums with answers on a brunch wedding and how to get the timeline down with enough time to make sure everything is done on time. Well here's another one.

I want our ceremony to start at 11am and to have everything end at 3 pm. I think I got the time line down good for arrival of vendors and set up but its the hours before that (wake up, make up, bridal party getting dressed). I have 2 MUA and all the girls hairstyles will be done a day or 2 before. So can i get some help with a wake up time up to 8am? Makeup will take an hr for each lady per MUA and we have to drive 30 mins to the venue, just to have that piece of info in mind.

Have you talked to your beauty team to see when they will arrive? They make timelines as part of their job description, and photographers do the same. Factor in coffee/breakfast for everyone to wake up and not be on an empty stomach. So you may need to push wake up time closer to 6am so you aren’t rushed.

I would reach out to your MUA artists to get their input. As Michelle mentioned it is part of their job to create a timeline. One thing I don't understand is how you think your girls hair will stay looking fresh for 1-2 days since they will have to sleep on it.

I am doing 10 am ceremony with reception done at 3pm !!

Church opens at 8am so i will be there at 8am to get dressed /hair with take 35-45min for me total. (No makeup) but waking up around 6am to shower/pack last minute stuff and sister is coming to pick me up at 7:30am to head to the church. Lunch will be served 12/12:30 We leave at 3pm to head straight to honeymoon spot, which is a 3 hr drive!

I missed that part about the days ahead. Definitely not feasible and no reputable hairdresser will do that. 1-2 hours prior but not days.

When our wedding was scheduled for a 11am start (pre pandemic) I was going to get up at 4/4:30am,
Hair/makeup arrival 5/5:30am to be ready 8am for 9am photos. That was for me, my MOH, and moms; 4 hair styles, 3 makeup. I’d ask your hair and make up stylist their thoughts and go off their timeline since they know best.

I’m not sure what hairstyle would stay nice for one of two days unless your girls are all getting cornrows or another type of African style braid. Definitely after your mua about timeline.
