help w food !! 2 different food

Are you doing buffet style ? If so I would get enough for everyone to have two servings of everything.


If you’re doing a plated dinner you can ask what guests would like on the RSVPs.

Your caterer will handle the amount of food depending on the number of guests. Are you planning to have a full course meal both Arabic and soul food? I think it would be best to have a few dishes of each and let the guests choose buffet-style.

Let your caterer know how many people are attending and they will make food for that many. If you are having 2 caterers, you give each of them the full guest count. You can always send leftovers home with guests or donate to a local shelter.

You should consult both your caterers for their advice on how much to budget for with this menu. You won't need two full servings of everything, but you should plan for people to want to try some of both cuisines. Hopefully you are having servers at the buffet to control for portion size, otherwise you will run out of some dishes.

View Quoted Comment Having two caterers is not common. I would just ask for a quote for 75 guests. Once you have multiple estimates, you can decide which ones you like that are in your budget. Then you can ask for your specific situation. Right now you just need to get an idea for your budget. I doubt any of them are going to tell you to order less than the full amount of guests in attendance because that would be less money for them. So you should probably plan on both caterers serving meals for 75. Be aware that you will not only be paying for the food, but each caterer will charge a service fee. Mine also charges a travel fee for outside their vicinity.
