HELP! Wedding Dress is wrinkled!

PhilSammie7302016, on July 24, 2016 at 10:41 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 12

I'm getting married this saturday 7/30 and my 2nd dress and veil are wrinkled. I'm trying to find a place to get it steamed and i only found 1 place close to us so far and they want to charge me $60 starting price. I don't know what the going rate it or anything but I need someone that's going to do it and have it done either that same day or the day after. The place i found isn't going to steam my dress til wednesday even though i was going to bring them the dress today. Please help i'm in the bensonhurt/coney island/gravesend area in nyc.

Hang it in your bathroom turn on the shower on hot, steam out the whole room like a sauna it should get them out.

Bed Bath and Beyond sells cheap steamers I brought one with us to the hotel just in case.

I'm going to try @nicolette's idea first while looking up the steamers on bed bath and beyond and see if that does anything too. Praying that it works, thanks ladies!

Shark steamer is so worth it! We use it on everything and it's super safe on all materials. Plus, you can keep it to use afterwards for all the other things that need it. I think you can still find at Walmart Target BB&B..

Be careful steaming it yourself if you go that route. I've read that you're only supposed to use distilled water or it could stain your dress. I would say it would be worth the $60 to take it to a professional.

I agree with bellamae, if steaming in your bathroom doesn't work, then I would take it to the professional

Honestly, I'd just take it to the professional. It's a wedding dress and will be in pictures. I've gone the shower route for special occasions dresses before, and although that works, I'm not hanging those pictures in my living room.

I would honestly probably just pay the money but I'm also a huge worrier. If you can't do that I would do the bathroom trick. That is safer then trying to steam it yourself. Also on another note........Hi date twin *waving* Smiley smile

Please just use a professional. You could easily water spot your dress trying to diy it.

If it's a David's Bridal dress, they'll steam it for free.

I would just pay. You never know what could happen trying it at home yourself.
