We are doing throw blankets because we are having an outdoor ceremony in the fall. There's places that sell bulk ones for cheap, so we are going with that!

At first we weren’t going to do favors but then last minute I decided let’s just do them. I ordered mini candles on Etsy and everyone loved them! Some people texted me a few days after the wedding a picture of their candle burning and said they smelled so good and loved the candle idea!Help!!! Wedding Favors??? What are some good but cheap options? 1

No, because there aren't as many plants as guests. People who want ones can take one, but if they don't then that's fine. Plus plants can be donated to retirement homes, medical offices, or even given to my co-workers and friends or given away on the facebook. Lots of people love plants, but strangers don't want random tchotchkes with you and husband's names on them lol. I'd much rather spend the money towards better appetizers or extra cake.

I agree with the edible one time use stuff. Or if you are going to go another route, put your names on tags that people can take off. I wouldn't want to keep anything that had someone else's name on it.

I'm leaning towards doing the little jars of hot cocoa and marshmallows. You can buy in bulk and it will probably be pretty cheap. I think edible is the way to go

So I am crocheting pumpkins out of orange and cream wool yarn with cinnamon stick stems for all the centerpieces. Each table will have 1 medium orange and 1 small cream colored pumpkins. My hope was to do one of those games to see who wins the centerpiece? Typically if someone really wants them, the person who wins will let them have it if they don't. I used a really nice quality wool and I think they look cute so I really hope people will like them. I also don't want to be stuck with 30 of them!

Edit: I guess my point is that I like weddings where the centerpiece is a favor for those few who really want a favor. We are getting lots of food and dessert so i can't see anyone needing candy or sweets to go.

We are doing lottery scratch off tickets included with a penny that has a heart cut out in the middle . If you go to Etsy and type in lottery favor wedding and heart penny you can see the pics. Our hashtag is #christinehitthezackpot (Fiancé name Zack) so it's perfect! and then either have it say for richer for poorer or Lucky in Love on the package .. I can't wait!!

We are doing personalized koozies BECAUSE we are a small, tight-knit group (less than 50, including the bridal party) and we all hang out at a particular small bar, and a lot of of collect each other’s koozies. We are also trying to figure out another favor for snacking when it gets late.

My Fiancé and I have decided to do bird seed heart favors. The kind you can just hang from a tree that has a compostable/biodegradable string on it. Any that get left behind we will use up eventually so it suits for anyone! Smiley smile Multipurpose. I get something that I want and Guests get a cute tree ornament for birds!

We are kind of doing a triple whammy, but it is pretty affordable.

We cannot have our dogs at the wedding, it would be too difficult. So, for our way of including them is we are going to display their picture, a sign saying something like "from our pups to yours" and have little favor bags of dog treats. I found heart shaped grain free treats on amazon and doing those in little favor bags from the dollar tree and tying off with twine. ($20)

Next to those, we are doing a hot sauce favor. We make our own hot sauce with ingredients from our garden. I get bottles for cheap and little labels. We are getting 3 24 packs of bottles from amazon. so, that is 72 bottles and then we ordered 72 stickers from avery .com ($80)

The final kinda favor thing is, I found a pack of individual dessert boxes big enough for a cupcake or other desserts on our table on amazon for less than $20 for a pack of 50. We will put a little sign by the boxes saying something along the lines of "too full from dinner? grab a box and take dessert to go." We are only getting one pack. ($18)

We gave ourselves a budget for favors which was $150. This was something we both agreed we wanted to do because we suckers for favors when we go places. I ended up spending about $118...and this was after picking the more expensive hot sauce bottles.

Im not doing any wedding favors. I’ve been to a few weddings and people leave things behind, toss them out etc. Yes edibles are a good idea at best but even those when it’s something small it’s kind of a like “what for” you just give them our cause of the “tradition”. We’re skipping wedding favors.

My wedding is 2 weeks before Christmas so I am handmaking glitter ornaments as a wedding favor. We invited almost 180 people to the wedding and I am only making about 50 of them because it'll be one per family (because why would they want multiple ornaments with our names on it on their tree), and I am assuming some people wont want one. But my wedding also has a Christmas theme so during the reception I am using them as part of the décor.

I’d say that the best favors are food or some kind of food item at the end!l of the night! Otherwise I think they often get left behind or tossed.
