Help!!! Weight loss & dress fitting

Brianna, on July 26, 2019 at 10:39 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 8
Hi all,

I have been losing weight rapidly and I have lost 22lbs since May 30. I tried on a wedding dress last month and I was a size 24. I tried on the dress again last week and I went down to a size 18 so I ordered the dress last Saturday expecting it to arrive in October but it arrived today!! The dress fits as it is now but I am losing so much weight I’m scared it won’t fit by my wedding and will be too big. I am averaging 3-4lbs weight loss a week. I would like to order a size 16 because I only would have to lose 2-4 inches to fit in the dress. I have no intentions on stopping losing weight and I don’t want to maintain until closer to the wedding. I also don’t want to pay a lot of money in alterations but I know they can bring it down to a size 14 altering it. The dress shop is giving me 2 weeks to make up my mind and the dress is final sale so no returns. My wedding is on Nov 10. What should I do? Should I order 1 size down? I’ll try to attach a photo.

Please help I’m about to cry!

I would order it in the 16. I have been on a weight loss journey as well. I lost about 25 lbs in the 3 months between trying on my dress and getting fitted for alterations. The dress I tried on in store was a 20 and I was swimming in it, she sized me in at a 18 and I ordered in at a 16. Still had to be taken in at the straps(off the shoulder) and waist/hips- alterations cost me around $500. But I am SO glad I ordered the size I did, even though the shop tried to talk me out of it, because the alterations would have been much more, if they would have even been able to do them.

Is it a zipper/button back? The reason that k asked is that I lost 24ish lbs since April 1st (and ppl constantly tell me that it looks like I lost a lot more). I purchased a size 12 when I bought my dress in May, which didn’t zipper all the way. The dress now zippers completely up & is secure in the chest area & no bunches in the back but my stomach area needs to pulled in by about 2x sizes, however my chest will never fit in a size 8x with the zipper.

If you don’t mind me asking, what are you doing that’s resulting in such great weight loss? I’m a November 10th bride too and hoping to lose some more weight before then!

Date twins! I'm just starting my weightloss journey I've already got my dress, so I'm just letting alterations handle it. I would be so stressed if all of a sudden I couldn't get my dress on.
