HELP! What is similar to corelle???

Annie Adams, on November 4, 2012 at 9:27 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7

My mom has a huge corelle collection of the perfect design for her.

And she wants me to have a corelle set too... unfortunately none of the patterns we like comes in either the plain round plates OR it doesnt have coordinating pieces to match as a set.

Anyone know of any similar designers or brands?

I would just Google until you find something you like and then tell your mom that brand. Brands don't mean anything to me so FH and I just picked a set. I can't even tell you know what brand it is.

Both Corelle and Corningwear have the "unbreakable" reputation, and they really are very very durable. I don't know any other plate brand that holds up nearly as well to everyday use, unless you want to buy some really nice china. The lady at Bed Bath and Beyond banged their plates on a counter to show how sturdy they are...

Yea. Thats what we're looking for. Durability. The ones we have now or dinged and chipped. Ok. Im just going to have to get a corelle pattern we dont like. Thus is life. Thanks!

Look online at Corelle. I see different patterns at different stores. Some stores have big serving bowls some not. They hold up great but when they do break what a shattered mess.

I have bought more of my set on ebay. I just needed plates.

Try looking at Corelle designs online, they have several patterns, but a retail store can only hold so many styles. You might also try a Corelle Store at an Outlet Mall....we have a couple in MI, and they carry styles that the "normal retail" store doesn't due to space constraints.

I have Corelle, and absolutely love it!!

Does Corelle still have the plain white set?
